One of the bestest books ever!
Wow, just wow! If I could I would give it six stars. This brilliantly written book full of outrageously humoruous statements, inner monologues, dialogues and occurrences was one of the best books I have ever read. Seriously. I felt like this book was written for me and I found myself wondering throughout the book how did I not read this author before. Well, I will definitely devour everything she has ever written, starting now.First of all, as I mentioned, the book is brilliantly written. The author's imagination is limitless as is her incredible humour. Then there is the unparalleled originality, which left me baffled million times. And the author has the ability to draw the reader into the story and keep them a happy prisoner. I inhaled the book and got really irritated if anyone dared to interrupt my love affair with this story. And the world, although quite limited to one place, seems immense and full of possibilities that readers can only imagine and wait to see what wonders the author will bring next because there is too much to anticipate to even guess. The characters are fantastic, three-dimensional, and incredibly well developed. Their reactions are somewhat human and plausible, but then not so much because they are not really human, and the author reflects that through their behaviour, reactions and personalities. Amazing. And the author added her own original twist on supernatural beings and their characteristics. The plot is suspenseful, fast paced, there is so much action, unpredictable twists, serious moments and funny funny funny beyond words. The interactions between and among characters are fabulous. This was truly one of the bestest books ever and I am forever grateful to the author for writing it for my dear friend recommending it.

Almost perfect!
I really liked this book. It flowed well. The characters were interesting. Despite the running commentary it wasn't just the horizontal tango with a dash of plot. In fact, there was no dirty dance and a decent helping of plot and character building. Now what I didnt like..The book is humorous but it really tries way too hard sometimes and I feel like it should be dialed back some. Always snarky comments and humor from the fmc. All the time regardless of the situation. And sometimes it's a real eye roller. (Dont get me wrong...some of it is funny)What I also didnt like was this was the second monster book with a lot of the same characters. Van helsing. Vampires. Dorian grey's lesser known family member. It has werewolves but they part of the main group. AND the killer for me was the FMC's name. Is there a handbook for monster books where out of the millions of names she has to be named Violet? It just wasn't original and I really feel that surely someone had to have mentioned this already before the publish button was pushed.

𝑻𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒔: Academy, Paranormal, Monsters, Reverse Harem, Fated Mates, MM, Vampire𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒆: 🌶️🌶️𝑷𝑶𝑽: Duet NarrationPlease note, this is not a book to listen to in public as it will frequently cause bouts of uncontrollable hysterical laughter that will likely gain you very strange looks from those around you. You have been duly warned & I suggest you learn from my mistakes. Seriously, don't let the little old lady in the grocery store judge you for your outburst. This book had me cracking up so many times & the narration for the audiobook only made it that much better. This is a duet narrated book (male always reads the male dialog & vice versa) & it is so well done. Bravo to the narrators.I loved the concept of this book, an academy for the monsters of the world to go to school together. And I loved how you go beyond the traditional, you don't just get vampires & werewolves, you get Frankenstein's son, Dr. Jekyll's son, Van Helsing's son & Medusa's son and get appearances from Dorian Gray's son, Cupid & the Bogyman.Violet is also such a great female lead. She might be the daughter of Dracula, but she has a whole lot more going on then what she got from her famous father. Her internal monologue is amazing.I cant wait to see where this series goes next.

decent, fun read, but…
Solid 3.5 stars for this fun monster romp full of snark and sexual tension. The storyline is decent, it moves at a decent pace, and the character development is okay. The snark is superb, of which I am a fan.The issues I have with this book:1) As is often the case with these high school RH books, the characters seem much older than high school, and their knowledge, experience, and emotional maturity is way beyond what a 17-19yr old should have. Examples: We aren’t told exactly how old Violet is, but in the beginning of the book she says she is a teenager, but there is mention of past sexual encounters that make it seem like they were numerous and that she should be much MUCH older than her teens. One of her love interests has been alive for hundreds of years yet he is in a monster high school. It’s these little inconsistencies that mess with my head and keep my brain from really immersing into the book.2) Incorrect grammar and punctuation. There are several instances where the author uses an incorrect word or phrase, and a few times where an apostrophe is used incorrectly (like when a word ends in S). It wasn’t enough to make me DNF, though. In all, the book was decent, fun, and my curiosity will see me reading book 2.

Love it!!
I love this story and how Violet is unapologetically herself!! She makes you fall for her in the craziest and realest of ways and I just need to continue this series to see where she goes 😂

Throughly enjoyed reading this book. What a journey for Violet and her "men". There were numerous times I kept chuckling while I read. Loved the intrigue around every corner. Bravo 👏

Fun read
This was somewhat unexpected and just a lot of fun! The plot is great with some surprises.I really liked the different characters, not sure who to trust 100% is driving me crazy.I also liked how the monsters were really monsters, not humans type creatures that turn into a monster (except for things like wolfman). It was pretty funny too

This book was hilarious!
I loved Violet's character, she's that clumsy vampire who'd fall face first on the floor from walking too fast and who also has insane inner thoughts. But she's also kind and strong. At the very beginning I somehow thought Frankie and Jack were the same person, I don't know what happened to my brain. Her mates are all quick to stay with Violet and protect her when necessary, some of them even seem to go out of their comfort zone when it comes to her.I really hope Dimitri Grey is going to be part of Violet's harem! I really liked his psychopath side.As for Barret and Cal, I loved them! They're so adorable with Violet, and she definitely needs them as best friends. I want to read more of them!I truly enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to read the next one as soon as it comes out!
