Good replacement part
Made exactly like the LG it replaced. The LG lasted a little over two years so hopefully this one will last at least as long or longer. I haven’t had it in use very long but so far it works well. The holes all aligned exactly. Looks just as good as the LG and half the price. Update: I have now had this in use for well over a year and it still works well. It gets used several times every day.

Melted after 3 uses
We bought this product and after using the microwave 3 times the microwave died. When we opened the microwave up again and pulled out this part the end of it was melted and the shroud was charred.

Pictures in listing should not be confusing.
Used for replacement of original LG 2M246 in GE Profile microwave. Second picture in listing shows unit that IS NOT configured as the first picture shows, which was misleading. Although the item received worked fine after rotating for proper airflow, this resulted in the unit power plug to the magnetron being against the microwave outer case wall. The unit power plug was heavily insulated, with no possible route to short against the cabinet wall, but IMHO the listing should include ONLY pictures of the actual item being sold.

Died within 2 months
This was not the same as my original magnetron. The part number label was scratched off so I couldn't verify what it was. I suspect this was a return, as it was clearly not new and didn't last.

Fixed my Maytag microwave oven and its easy to install
My Maytag microwave that is recessed in the kitchen cabinets finally failed and wouldn't heat at all. I did some troubleshooting and chased the problem down to a failed magnetron which do fail after several years of use. Mine was 15 years old. I replaced the magentron and the microwave works like a charm again. This saved me several hundred dollars in the expense of buying a new microwave and the several hundred dollar metal shroud that attaches to the cabinet. This is an easy job to do no special tools or test equipment needed just a couple screw drivers. Id buy this item again without hesitation.
