Love this product, and it's been hard to find this kind of item, "lockettes" I guess, for a decade or more now. Sadly, the plastic is a little too flexible and the teeth are starting to bend and lose their shape (thus usefulness) after a few weeks.Comfort is about getting it right on one's head so it is balanced and doesn't pull. I have thinner hair now than ten years ago, but it still matters.I found another brand, but don't know that they will last long, either. Teeth fell out of the ones I had in the 90's.I wish I could find them in metal or fiberglass? I just don't know. Excellent concept, but needs to last.

I had a set of these that lasted for 6 years until the teeth broke and wasn't able to find them again even after contacting Mia directly. They worked My beautifully & helped me to survive the growing out of a truly awful haircut. My fabulous hairdresser was out of town & I allowed a very good friend use my head as a test subject & for a cosmetology test on layering. Well she failed. My utterly fabulous hair dresser Lou from twisted hair design recommended these they would stay put even with all of the layers & waist length hair & he was correct. Do everything you can to keep alcohol containing styling products away from the teeth & wash them gently soap & water to remove any you were unable to avoid & they (the teeth) won't break as quickly. I actually bought 2 sets just in case! I originally received the wrong items from the vendor. I contacted them for a return & they they answered me literally in seconds! Apologized for the error & not to print the return label. They sent me the correct items free of charge & shipping & told me to keep the incorrect order (bend-a-bun). I’ve used these combs in the past and they’re part of my MUST HAVE ESSENTIAL ITEMS + Back ups!I’m not happy to see what Amazon is charging for the $5.00 clips (available in most drug stores like Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid etc.).PROS: The hair combs DO work on fine/hard to gather hair, they’ve always been affordable (until I couldn’t find them at CVS) and have a bit of flexibility in them.CONS: These combs most likely cost .50 to manufacturer. AT BEST. I’ve purchased Mia Hair Combs (*this one*) for 20 years....and never paid over $6.00 for a set. Suddenly the price doubled or tripled.If you have long and fine hair, you’ll be amazed at how well these combs hold your hair back! That’s why I can’t live without them. I will NOT pay over $6.00 for a set however. The mfg is taking advantage of the fact no one else offers these hair combs.

These break easily, but with that said, there are no other interlocking combs that work this well, look this good (easiest updo ever) or are THIS comfortable!! So, reluctantly I buy them often. Just added a few more sets to my cart. I have tried every interlocking comb set on the market and these are so light and comfy, and while they are in tact with all teeth, about 3 weeks of constant wear, they hold my medium length fine hair up all day in a cool look. I wish France Luxe would copy this design with sturdier comb teeth.

I have a very frustrating hair type. It's "violently" straight, fine, thick, and slick as glass. Most things have to be tied/clipped SO tight to get them to stay that it's almost painful... And then slip out anyway. Very frustrating. Ugh.I've used these several times and they work better than anything since perms and banana clips, lol.I got the tortoiseshell, and I'm going to get the black.If you have tried other comb type things with little success, give these a try.

I do LOVE these hair combs, they're comfortable and don't scratch your scalp. They really hold ALL DAY!I have medium length / volume hair. I will buy them again and again best combs in town.

I have been looking for these clips everywhere. I had originally found the brown clips and loved them. I ordered these thinking they were the brown but ended up being the black, I was not disappointed in the color however. The black clips are not as flexible as I would have liked but other than that they are great and will order them again when I need more.
