This new pruner is replacing a set that I have used for about 30 years!, it was very well made and has lasted a long time so any new pair of pruners is going to have to really offer a lot. The old pair is just worn out and its time for a replacement.The pair I obtained are a newer version that are advertised as ergonomic, one of the two handles rotates as you cut. (GPPS-1014). Some reviews indicated other pruners entirely. I found these to be quite sharp, easily cutting green limbs and dead ones as well, the dead ones are usually larger than the live ones. At first the moving handle seemed odd, it didn't take long to get used to it slightly rotating while I cut a branch, it became second nature quickly and I think that will reduce hand fatigue and cut down on blisters, although I always wear gloves when using them.The spring allowed them to open easily but wasn't too strong to require added force to cut. Their overall size was comfortable, both in my large hand, and to maneuver around bushes to make a cut. The length of the blade is about the same as many other average pruners out there. I take these as an average pair of pruners for everyday work in your yard which for most of us is 1 or 2 days a week at most. I think the ergonomic handle would also be suited for the gardener who would be using these every day.The handles are foam covered and afford comfortability. The small locking mechanism stayed open while using them. I didn't test them to see if they would cut 1" diameter branches, but to cut larger branches you will need hand strength to do so, these are sharp, (they are also brand new), if you regularly cut larger branches, or if you don't have a lot of hand strength, you should try a ratcheting type or a larger pruner made for larger branches. Yes, that may require additional steps but you should use the right tool for the right job, otherwise you aren't going to get good results.I did not have a lot of pruning to do this spring, I will try to update this review in the fall.

Purchased a pair almost two years ago and loved them so much that I decided to get a second pair. The first pair started to dull from cutting small limbs that are probably too large in diameter (1" plus), and I am tough on my garden tools. Unless I am paying over $40 for shears, I rarely bother to sharpen them- yes, I know it is easy to do. Nevertheless, the first pair is still going strong!Pros: Ergonomic- swivel grip, sharp/durable, easy to use, easy to lock.Cons: None!It doesn't hurt to have a few pairs of pruning shears, especially when you have almost an acre of landscape and gardens to play in. I've had numerous pairs of pruning shears over the years and these are the best.NOTE: Reading some of the negative reviews are showing photos or describe different pruners than these. Gonicc does make a ratcheting pruning shear (that cannot compare to these) that is shown is some of the photos. I have noticed this issue on many other product that have reviews in the thousands.

Since it's not the season to prune yet, I haven't used them much. But they are everhything they are supposed to be . Sharp, and comfortable to the grip

Very sharp, easy to use, best one so far. Now how long will it last? Don't know. Right now, very satisfied.

The rotating lower handle feature may be good for some users, but I found it to be less stable in my hand. The shear does not readily cut branches of the rated capacity. If you need a medium duty shear this could be okay. If you need to cut ¾ inch branches, spend more & get something better.

Durch das Mitrollen benötigt man weniger Kraft und bekommt keine Blasen.- FALLTEST: eine gute Gartenschere sollte beim Aufprall nicht Aufspringen. Das tut diese hier nicht. Aber man sieht im Video, dass der Riegel sich nach jedem Fall etwas mehr öffnet. Nach dem 4. oder. 5. Fall hintereinander würde sie aufspringen. Aber so oft fällt sie einem ja nicht hintereinander runter. Scheint sonst sehr robust!- Schärfe: nach 2 Wochen täglicher Benutzung lässt die Schärfe noch nicht nach. Aber ich weiß von teureren Modellen, dass es durchaus schäfer geht. Nächstes Jahr gibt's ein Update (jetzt ist Juni 2024).- Qualität: wertige Materialien, Polsterung alles sehr gut. Da wackelt und quietscht nichts. Aber eben kein High End Produkt.- Preis/Leistung: genial, habe mir gleich 2 bestellt, damit mein Mann und ich nicht um die Schere streiten :)
