Why has such a great long-available product been discontinued?

The company that produced the product went bankrupt.

The box says 7 drops, I certainly would not go over that as over feeding will kill violets. However I don't usually feed them every time I water as it says on the box, I may do it every other time. (I usually water once a week - in a timed manner, as in about 30 to 40 minutes, then take the water away, whereas some people water less). When the violets are blooming I feed more often, then than when they are not. I have had one violet blooming constantly for over a year (unusual for me) and still only feed it every other, or third time. I have heard that this was discontinued from the manufacturer, so while I still have some, I am branching into other violet foods. Is this discontinued or not?

Does it work for orchids?

We use it on our orchids and experience fantastic growth and blooming. I've struggled with orchids in the past until I started use it. I do water the orchids about half as often as my violets.

Can this be used in a self-watering pot -- the kind that's a pot within a pot? would i add to the water in the outer pot? if so, how much? thanks!

I read a blog about African violets that if you use a self watering, reservoir-type pot you dilute the fertilizer to 1/4 the recommended strength and put that in the reservoir to fertilize.

Works great!

I don't normally leave reviews for products, but this has my full thumbs up! I had been nursing my African violet along for over a year. The leaves looked terrible and it had never had one blossom. I was getting ready to throw it away, but thought I'd give it one last chance after finding this product. Exactly one month after feeding my violet, behold! I have bright, beautiful blooms! The only thing different was feeding it.

Haven’t killed it yet

I haven’t killed it yet! New growth coming in so I’ll continue to use. No new blooms yet but I can always dream of a green thumb! No burning but water from bottom of succulent pot. So far so good. Probably would purchase again but this bottle will last a looooonnnngggg time!

Good product, bad area for Violets

If I could keep my poor African Violets alive where I live now, I have no issue with the plant food. The plant food does not unalive the plant if you have the right conditions for the Violets.
