TP-Link LS1005G 5-Port Gigabit Network Switch, Ethernet Splitter

I bought the TP-Link LS1005G 5-Port Gigabit Switch to expand the number of Ethernet ports in my home network, and it’s been working flawlessly. Setup couldn’t be easier, just plug it in and it works instantly. No configuration, no software, and no hassle. All five ports deliver full gigabit speeds. It handles multiple devices without any slowdowns. The unit is compact, lightweight, and silent since it’s fanless, making it perfect for a desk or entertainment center. Build quality feels solid for the price. Overall, this is an excellent value if you need a reliable, affordable Gigabit Ethernet switch. Highly recommended.

The switch worked straight out of the box with no setup needed. Stable gigabit connection and good performance for home or office use. Compact design and runs quietly. Great value and exactly as described.

I needed an additional switch for a short term network redesign before a full redesign later this year with a larger switch and patch panel so bought the cheapest gigabit switch on Amazon. £7.99 at the time. I see complaints about this switch in other reviews so lets start with the negative to get it out of the way. Negative - the switch feels cheap and plasticy. Feels like something from a Christmas cracker. - Status lights don't blink on activity, only static on connection. This may be a positive if the switch is not hidden but mine are hidden and I prefer status blinking for diagnosis That is it for the negatives. Nothing deal breaking there for most people Positives - very small and compact - runs cold so no worries with heat - full gigabit ports - anyone saying speed issues should check their cables or QoS settings on their router. cat6a gives me no issues. - takes heavy throughput easily - I have a gaming / streaming PC, nas and server running several vm's connected to this which get simultaneously accessed by multiple devices on the network with no issues Performance is exactly the same as the netgear pro safe switches which I usually buy and have served me well for years Switch is wired back to router so no issues. If you wire back to another switch before the router, you may see performance drop Overall very pleased with it and works perfectly until I swap this and my netgear switch for a managed enterpise switch later this year My other advice for home users is don't use the rubbish (usually yellow) Ethernet cable your internet provider gives you. Invest in some cat 6 or cat 6a. it makes a difference

One of my switches decided to die and I had to get a replacement fast. Amazon offered same day delivery for this so it won my attention. Priced at only £15 at the time of purchase (OCT 2022) This was a no brainer purchase. Arrived and plugged in all my network cables and worked. Not sure on the durability of this as it is made from lightweight plastic and only one led indicator for each socket. So there is no indication if the plugged in cable is working at 10 100 or 1000 mbits... just a note for those that need quick visualisation confirmation of the speed. Small plug and cable (dedicated plug ) so could be an issue if the plug/psu fails. All in all I am happy with the purchase. Pros • Total Value for money • No configuration Needed • Light Weight • Very Compact Cons • Not suitable for desktop locating • LEDs Do Not indicate Speed • Dedicated PSU plug As a cheap alternative this switch is very good.. It is also a branded name so some re-assurance there for product support and reliability? I would purchase this again as an basic Switch as it does the job.

For the price and my intended use, this is a brilliant and fast ethernet switch. Fanless so it makes no noise which is good because it's in a bedroom. Had no issues since install and it's been in a good few weeks now.

Amazing piece of kit at a great price! Easy to install/set up and now we have more devices hardwired from the modem. Very light weight, small and neat so it’s very discreet when installed and has extended the capacity to one that work for us.

Este switch es una excelente compra, Una solución rápida para poder conectar diferentes dispositivos sin sacrificar esapacios o requerir la instalación y porogramación de un modem adicional. Por ejemplo, este lo utilizo en mi habitación, en donde sólo tengo un decodificador de mi proovedor de cable y con este switch pude repartir la señal para mi laptop, pantalla inteligente y play station, teniendo una velocidad mayor a la que me daría el wifi del decodificador de mi proveedor de cable. Lo mejor de todo es que no requiere configuración. Tan pronto se saca del empaque y está listo para usarse. Ni siquiera importa el orden de conexión de los puertos, en cualquiera detecta la fuente de internet. El precio es un regalo por la calidad insuperable que ofrece. El tamaño muy pequeño y discreto. Llevo más de un año con él y aún funciona a la perfección. Un excelente producto.
