Yummy spice
I can't compare this to any other items since this is the first time I have bought this spice, however, I really like it. So far I have used it with plain Greek yogurt to make a dip for veggies or mixed with lemon and oil to make salad dressing. It has a very distinctive taste to me and seems fresh. I think it would be good with potatoes or rice when I am ready to try it with something hot. I would probably buy this again; this company seems to have good spices for my needs.

Heaven.
I use this to give my hummus that extra mystery kick. Love this, and the vacuum seal bag and tight zip closing. Think I am on my 4th bag of this. I buy a lot of my spices from this company.

Great, but pricey
Great product, but pricey for our use. We use A LOT of zaater at our house. My husband is Saudi. We like to make bread and bake it with zaater and olive oil on top. I would probably only be able to do this 5 times for the amount we got. However, the quality is great. If you do not use excessive amounts like we do then I would recommend it for sure! We go through a quart mason jar every 6 months. This would probably last us three months. I don’t think we will buy it again, but will enjoy what we have.

It's a lot of spice for the money.
First of all, I paid 10 bucks for this. I had a gift card and wanted to get something interesting and I had heard a lot about zaatar and decided to buy it, thinking I was going to get a little pouch and 6 ounces wasn't going to be much. It's a lot. You could easily fill one of the larger spice shaker bottles with this bag and then some, and those are already going to be 7 or 8 bucks just for garlic powder or something.Now for the flavor. It's kind of subtle, very herby and earthy. Imagine an elevated Italian seasoning blend. I made couscous with feta and olive oil and I doused it with zaatar and it was delightful. I'm glad to have this bag in my spice arsenal.
