As noted in some other reviews the magnet is only friction fitted in to the end. On arrival I looked at this añd with very little efforts the magnet came out of the endIf this happen in the engine not a good thing. So I had to drill a couple of holes above the magnet area and used some stainless wire through the holes over the magnet to keep it in place. If you are not able or don't do some like this I would not put in my engine. I think the makers could have sacured the magnet but other than that the fit is very good and quality seams fine. I chose to retrofit because all of the other brands looked like they did the same thing. Also this would fit my yamaha engine./ Generater.

Junk! - Magnet is missing inside the crankcase. Generator still running ok, but the magnet is either stuck itself in a neutral location in the crankcase, waiting like a timebomb, or it fell out before I screwed in the plug if I'm lucky. Absolutely RIDICULOUS Chinese garbage, probably designed to sabotage everybody's generator so they'll buy another.

The product works as intended. I replaced the original dipstick on my new Yamaha EF2200is before I ran it for the first time and happy to report it picked up a lot of ferris metal particles. The Yamaha engine has a cast iron cylinder liner so it worked great. The only thing is the dipstick comes with an o-ring seal that’s too thick. Not a big deal, I just swapped out to the original one. Still a 5 star product!

Magnet in tip came out into crankcase of my generator. Magnet loose in crankcase oiI could damage engine. I would not take a chance using this product.

changed my oil after first 5 hours and there were a lot of metal shavings on it, very good.

This item worked well for my recently purchased SUA4000IED duel fuel generator. There was not much information available to choose the right dipstick so I took a chance on this one and it fit perfectly. It picked up some metallic fines which I noticed when changing the oil after a one hour break in run. Use of this magnetic dipstick should lengthen the life of my generator.
