Really excellent quality. My son loved the feel of them. He is 14 and slim but the size 16 regular was a little snug. I have never bought husky sizes but in this case, 16 husky was perfect. The pants run small in waist. Great quality and price. Thank you.

I bought these pants for my boys' Irish step dancing competitions. I picked these because they're straight leg (not too wide, so the judges can see their form), have a flat front, are slim fit (for my thin boys), and have stretch to them (so they can move comfortably in them). They look and feel good, especially when they dance. They're perfect... almost. Contrary to most of the other reviews, I feel as though these pants are true to size in length and through the hips/seat, but generous in the waist for a slim fit pant. My boys (13 and 11) are both thin, but not super tall. They're close in height and weight, and they both usually wear size 14 pants, either slim or regular, depending on the brand. And the 14s in these pants fit them both well... except for the waist. (They can both hook the inside hook into the outside eye; that's how loose they are on them. These don't have adjustable waists and they can't wear belts for the competitions, so I'll have to cross my fingers that they don't end up around their ankles while they're dancing! (I'll find a way to take them in somehow.) Based on the suggestions of other reviewers, I ordered both 14s and 16s because so many wrote that buyers should purchase a size up and/or husky fit. I'll be saving the 16s for next year's competition season because, with the exception of the generous fitting waist, they are otherwise perfect for their Irish step dancing needs.

My son is 12 and is 5'3" and weighs 105 lbs. He is tall and thin, but not super skinny. I read other reviews and based on those and the size chart, I ordered a size 16. The chart indicated the length would be great, but I was worried that the waist would be too large. The pants fit perfectly. I am so glad I ordered a 16. You would think that a 12 or 14 would fit a tall 12 year old, but the 16s are great. Material is nice and they look good on. Good purchase.

There seem to be widely varying descriptions of this product by purchasers; perhaps the description could use more details. I have a couple of pairs of men's Calvin Klein trousers and they do fit slimmer than one might expect in the waist and hip area. The waist on the men's pants are quite high, so if you wear them lower or you have a short torso you will have to go a size up.For these pants, the waist was larger than I would expect (he is slim, but 5'7" and 130 lbs, an athlete). We needed to hem them slightly, about 1 inch.The cut, not the fit, of the pants are "classic" straight leg. They are not "slim fit" pants as some reviews suggested. I knew that my son wanted a slimmer cut leg, but he was not unduly disappointed it being his first suit.The  Calvin Klein Big Boys' Bi-Stretch Blazer  for these pants are also a classic, standard fit. So if your son is slimmer through the waist and torso, the jacket might look better if you take it in a 1/2 inch on both sides. (I purchased his jacket elsewhere because we needed things in a hurry).For a set that pitches itself as being a "modern" cut, it is pretty standard stuff. The material, a poly blend, looks nice, but you won't mistake it for wool even from a distance if you are discerning about such things. The shoulders on the blazer have a natural slope and it's nearly a 3/2 roll but are not at all tapered in the torso, so the fit ends up being slightly boxy.If you are looking for a decent looking suit and don't want to pay over $100, these pants along with the matching jacket is a good buy. If you are looking for something for the latest trends for your son you might want to try something else.

My son is 8 And weighs appx 60 pounds. Got him the size 8- it's a little tight on him and the length is a little higher than I expected. If he sits the pants look too short on him. My son is not a husky but rather thin. Regardless... these are for a piano recital but I'm sure he will only be able to wear once. For the price it runs rather small .. definitely order one size up. Perhaps this would help.

I don't write many reviews but felt I had to for these wonderful pants. My son's school asks for black uniform pants. He hated the pants from the uniform store so much because they were so stiff and hard. Since we discovered these when he was in the second grade he has not worn any other pants to school. They are not cheap but look great and are super soft and comfortable, and hold up extremely well, look like new after more than one year despite being washed and dried 1-2 times a week (we buy 3 and do laundry on Tuesday or Wednesday night). The best thing is they are very wrinkle resistant and don't have to be hung right away when coming out of the drier to look decent. Sooo nice! I agree with the other reviewers that the pants work best for slender boys, when my son was younger he was not super skinny and the pants would get too tight before getting too short, but when that happened going to a larger size worked for us. I think I had one set hemmed because we had to move up a size. He is now almost 16, 5'6 and skinny, size 16 pants still fit but are getting a bit short, so I am ordering size 18. You will not regret buying these!!!

I purchased this pair in black, size 6, for my tall child who wears a 6/7 pant. My child is 51" and 52lbs. Per the size chart, he would wear a size 7 based on height. I decided to go based on weight and I didn't have time to hem as the event was imminent. They fit perfect and appeared hemmed to his dress shoe. The waist fit perfect and no belt was needed. There is also about an inch of hem that I can let out. Exactly what I was going for.

Horrible quality!! After wearing these only three times for very short periods of time (i.e. my son only wore these to go to and from the rink) the seam on the back has almost come completely undone and the zipper is now almost completely detached on one side of the fly! I’ve bought cheaper pants that are much better quality than these. Do not waste your money!

I bought 2 pairs for my son, first pair I bought is size 10 and it was tight in the waist. the length was perfect. So we then purchased size 12 BUT the waist of size 12 and size 10 is IDENTICAL or almost 99.9% identical? How is this possible? I will have to return both sizes. Is there a chance that size 14 is a different measurement in the waist? I mean it should be!The quality is nice. But something is off with sizes!!

Excelente pantalón, a mi hijo le quedó muy bien , el tiene 7 años pero es muy alto y el talla 10 le quedó perfecto , voy a subirle un poco pero las piernas de lo ancho quedaron perfectos, y la cintura hay que meterle una pinzas unos 2 cm pero están estupendos, la tela es de muy buena calidad

Le quedo muy bien de largo, pero un poco ancho de la cintura es esperado por que todos le quedan asi. Muy buena calidad en la tela y hechura

The quality of the product seemed fine, just did not like the too tight fit
