VibramWomen's Five Fingers, V-Alpha Trail Shoe

One of the best pairs for running
For those that run in minimalist shoes, and whose feet have already adapted to this style of shoe, the V-Alpha is one of the better options. I use these for distances from 5k-10 miles (street and trail) down to 25 degrees Fahrenheit/-4 degrees Celcius (anything colder than that or if there is snow and slush on the ground I switch to the insulated version). The traction on the soles of these shoes are on point - my last two runs were on frost covered asphalt, frozen and wet leaves, and frost and partial thawed mud and dirt trails. It is nice not to have to slow your pace for fear of slipping and sliding. They really do grip well and still give a nice fit with good ground feel. The sewing on the pair I recieved was perfect, my number one complaints for Vibrams - still after many years - is that they don't seem to have any quality controld on checking the inseams, etc, for the toe pockets and other areas for any excess material that would cause rubbing and chafing. This pair was perfectly sewn and the fit was great right out of the gate. In normal street shoes and work shoe's I wear a 7.5-8 for women. For this pair I ordered the 39 (8-8.5 for women) and it fit great. Also love that you don't have to tie any laces....

Successor to the KSO Evo
This is the successor to the KSO Evo and it's better in every way.The upper is roomier (a big plus as I found the KSO a bit too tight fitting with a wide foot); the sole feels more flexible, grippy and solid while still allowing good ground feel; the laces are longer and improved; and it now has a back loop to help you get it on!My only gripe is that the tongue of the shoe is made of a harder material than the rest of the upper and chafes against my smaller foot. This hasn't been a problem with the other Five Fingers shoes I have.

This style RUNs SMALL!
I have several pairs of Vibram 5 Fingers--love them! All my other pairs are Women's 39, so I ordered these in a 39, they are too tight, returned them and will be reordering in a 40.

Funny lookin' shoes
This is my second pair of Vibrams, and they fit as expected. For those who have never worn them, they're neat (even though they're funny looking). These have a thicker sole with more grip, which I wanted for desert and forest hiking, and they should work great! I can't wait to try them! For anyone who worries that it'll feel weird to have something between their toes, don't worry! You'll get used to it long before your kids stop making fun of your new shoes!

Runs very very small!!!
I wear a 39 in all Vibram models but couldn't fit my foot into this one. Runs 2 sizes smaller than any other 39 by them.

Love these
I love these shoes and they're a lot nicer looking than the picture. The color are more of a grayish khaki tint.Just got finished with my jog in them they were comfortable, I did 3 miles on a paved bike trail. They run slightly bigger than I expected, but the adjustable laces fixed that. I appreciate the added space so I can eventually wear socks in them.

Excellent to walk in everywhere
No dislikes at all. They are comfortable, durable, wash well, fit well and feel like my second skin!
