I purchased this product to use with the Sony FS700 videocamera. The description indicated it would work with that model - but the power cable comes out the BOTTOM of the adapter - and therefore cannot be inserted properly into the battery compartment - the plug stops the adapter from being inserted. I returned. Just be sure to understand the placement of the power cable - it might effect your use as well.

Lives on my monitor, and never comes off. It has held up so far with no tearing, shortage whatsoever.

This adapter didn't feel like it would last, but I've had it over a year and it's a mainstay of my camera build. The voltage display is a great bonus as well.

We own a few different brands of these dummy adapters to run our monitors and different accessories like Teradeks and this adapter has been the most solid one we've had so far. I just ordered another one because the cheaper one (another brand we won't mention) I bought broke. So yes solid and reliable. I would recommend it.
