Rothco Pre-Shaved Inspection Ready Beret - Rugged Wool Hat - Ready for Duty

Solid beret for military, not ready but closest you’ll get. I got the 7 7/8 bc I have a huge head and fits perfectly. Came pre stretched and was dang near wearable right off the rip.Came with a few creases from packaging but all went away after wet forming it, I had to stretch it and shave it a bit but it barely took any time!The people saying it’s flimsy and thin are obviously not in the military bc it’s supposed to be.

Fits great and holds its shape well.

Yeah some people take them out but the material needs it to hold a shape.

The size fits the head but the beret itself is kinda big. It keeps its shape and the quality is good.

Very, Very disappointed. It's flimsy and out of shape. It wouldn't pass inspection at a jr. high band camp. Looks a lot like the one Monica Lewinsky used to wear.

I ordered the Rothco Pre-Shaved Inspection Ready Beret with the expectation that it would require minimal prep before wear. If you’re Active Duty in an Airborne unit, you need to understand up front: this is not truly inspection-ready out of the box. It is better than a standard issue beret in terms of initial shaping and material, but it still requires work.The wool quality is decent, and it has a good foundation for shaping. It responds well to additional shaving and forming, and once you put in the effort, it can be brought up to standard. It’s not flimsy, and it doesn’t feel like a cheap costume item. For someone who already knows how to properly shave, shape, and set a beret, it’s a workable starting point.The reason this isn’t a 5-star rating is because the “inspection ready” claim is misleading. You will still need to shave it down further, shape it correctly, and take the time to make it presentable for a real-world inspection. If you expect to pull it out of the packaging and wear it immediately in a professional Airborne environment, you’ll be disappointed. It’s a solid base to build from, but the final standard still depends on the work you put in.

プレスして細く小さく折り畳まれた状態で届きます。ミリタリーベレー帽の解説サイトを参考にして、熱湯に20-30分ほど浸したところ、折シワが完全に取れました。縮ませたい場合は乾燥機で速乾すると良いかと思います。右側にしっかりと垂らす事が出来る程十分な生地がありました。なかなか良かったので、色違いも注文してみました。

Good product, fit well, too bad fabric was not made heavier

今までは他社の物を使用してましたが、こちらの方が生地も良くタレも大きくとれて深く被れます。一つ大きめのサイズで水浸整形するとフェルトが締まりジャストサイズになります。
