Just put them up yesterday so don't know whether this light strand eats batteries or not but the timer worked well. I was surprised by the size of the balls, around the size of a golf ball (approx 5 inches around). They are nice & bright and a good spacing distance between the balls. While they would probably look better if hung where can be viewed from both sides but still look nice hanging on a wall.

These lights are solid, bright, and the controls are nice! Excellent convenient lights for decorating! We'll see how they hold up on my art project for Burning Man on a mobile bike vehicle.

They were what I had expected.

I used these lights for my wedding on the big fireplace mantle at the wedding reception. They were gorgeous! The detail on the balls are beautiful. I did have one of the balls come apart, but I was able to connect it back together. Overall, they are beautiful and they work great!

I bought two sets of gold to put in one of my apothecary jars. I like the golden balls and the warm white/golden color of the light. The timer function works just fine and they seem to last quite a while on 3 AA batteries, as I haven't had to change the batteries yet. The price seems neither too high or especially good, but about what one would expect to pay for a set of these lights at a local store when not on sale. I'm considering getting a couple more sets for other applications.

I bought these in gold to decorate a large live wreath. It is perfect. We added a beautiful red bow. I love that during the day it looks like gold bulbs. At night we turn on the lights. It’s stunning. I’ll probably use it year round, once removed from the wreath, to decorate my plant area. The price was cheap in my opinion. Great buy. Arrived fast.

Love the ambiance these lights out off. They were exactly what we wanted for our wedding.
