Review: Very happy with this filter - Purchased and been using since the summer of 2024. We have found it great for backpacking. Simple and so far still reliable. Main thing to remember is that it's difficult to get going with water / bubbles in the line and filter. Once you can get those out it's a strong steady fast drip to a trickle. We liked the water clarity and taste of our water compared to our friends filtration device by far. Next time I'll take an empty gallon jug of water to drip into while doing other things and just let gravity do it's work. Just used it again 7/25/26 and no changes in my opinion.

Mechanically speaking, the filter was terrific. As far as the filtering of microorganisms, it's hard to know unless you were to use a test kit. I drank river water for 4 days and never had any ill effects. So I guess it worked great!
