Almost perfect.....
I really wanted to love this microscope / camera. It is very nicely made, easy and fun to use. The only reason that I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is that the camera took pictures that came out blurry. It would be great for close ups on flat items like coins ect but for textured items you can only focus in clearly on parts of it which resulted in blurry pictures.

Misleading claim of 1200x magnification - a nice 300x microscope though!!
This is a very nice microscope that was ruined by a misleading description of 1200x magnification. This unit clearly states on the box it is a 300x optical microscope and such information really should be used for advertising purposes on this site also. The unit works well though the light is not very bright and not adjustable. The built in LCD and lithium battery with 2 hour run time is adequate for the task and microSD card (4gb included with SD adapter) option makes this a very handy stand alone unit. But there is no substitute for good magnification and the misleading sellers knew it and it makes this unit unusable for my purposes.

The viewing screen is a cool idea, however the picture quality is horrible
1. It is not made in UK as is stated in the description, the label was marked Made in China 2. It does not magnify at all. 3. Veho plays the words and say "digital zoom", their is NO magnification with this thing. 4. The viewing screen is a cool idea, however the picture quality is horrible, actually shockingly bad.

This item is not what was expected. You cannot zoom in real close on a object. Very disappointed with this item and on top of it you cannot return this item.

Gutted it doesn't come with a mains power supply. Get 5 stars if it did come complete with mains.. Battery doesn't last very long

Great for use in my small science classes when I want all of the students to focus on something in particular. Can hook the microscope up to the computer and then to a projector so everyone can see the same image. Also, since it takes pictures than can be uploaded to Facebook or printed for the students to have a copy for their books.
