DREAMSTITCH 5011-23, 5613 Low Shank Snap on Tricot Foot Knit Presser Foot for Singer, Brother, Kenmore, Elna, Pfaff, Viking Sewing Machine

This works like a dream on knits with the Singer Fashion Mate sewing machine. I'm writing this review for people with this type of sewing machine since I wasn't sure the foot would fit but it does! You just have to slip the tall metal lever part behind the screw for the needle and then pop in place. See pictures for further info.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this foot since I have been having issues with my machine eating my knit fabrics. I also didn’t want to purchase an expensive walking foot, so I purchased this one and I’m so glad I did.In the video, I’m sewing with a rayon/spandex blend knit so the fabric is very slinky. Normally my machine would be eating the crap out of this fabric, getting stuck and I’d be struggling to sew in a straight line. As you can see no struggles here! I also started the seam and was able to backstitch with no issues.

Did not fit my Janome Skyline S6. Looked like good quality.

I was able to got this presser foot on my low shank Singer model. When it is running, the little tread at the bottom works quite well to keep the fabric straight without veering left. However it is not made to fit my machine and the bar protruding from kept getting caught in and smacking against the screw post that holds the needle in, and the top of the plate. At times, I would raise or lower the presser foot and this would cause the needle and screw to jerk violently. This kind of thing is what can ruin your machine after a while. I had to return it.

I originally got this foot from Madam Sew until the spring broke. Found this for much less money and works beautifully. Almost like a walking foot!

This did the trick. No bunching, great stitching from start to finish. Fabulous looking hem.

It works just fine when without the rubber gripper on the bottom. It fell off after a few hours of use.
