55" X900f with Roku Premiere - I'm happy so far
I've had this tv for less than 1 week at this point, and will update this review if anything relevant changes. Having read complaints about the responsiveness of Android TV in other reviews, I ordered a Roku Premiere along with the set and so far have only really used that combination. The Roku was easy to set up. I gather that I'll have to change settings on the set's hdmi port(s) to view 4k content at higher than 30 fps.So far the picture quality seems to me to be excellent. I've watched a couple of movies, one in hd and one in 1080p, and upscaling seems to work really well, as does motion processing. One reason I chose this tv is that at this time I expect to view most content at resolutions below 4k and it reputedly has about the best processing available. Based on my experience so far it does an excellent job. Black levels are also fine as far as I can perceive and the images look good to me in either relatively bright or relatively dim light.Sound quality is so-so to good to my aging ears. I'm sure an audiophile would want to use a soundbar or other external system, but for my purposes this isn't required.I'm going to delve further into Android TV and into changing settings in the near future and will update this review with anything I learn that seems worth mention. By the way RTINGS.com provides the settings they used for their review, and Consumer Reports provides the slightly different ones that they used.Update 1-15-19:The enhanced setting for HDMI ports is available only for ports 2 and 3.There is quite noticeable blooming when you view something bright, for example white text, on a dark background. Overall, image quality seems good, though the colors aren't as overblown as one sees in demos and object edges aren't over-sharpened. Of course things that must be upscaled aren't as nice as those at higher resolution. When I watch video reviews of tvs showing demo video on those tvs, it looks quite good to me second-hand on mine. As is well known, viewing angle is limited. Sound is usually good, but occasionally speech is difficult for me to understand, especially in movies for some reason. Changing the sound settings helped to some extent and perhaps could help more, but I may purchase a soundbar. For the time being I'm still using my old cable service as well as Roku and it works fine, but I have multiple remotes to juggle. I haven't noticed much problem with Android responsiveness but I seldom use the Android apps. All in all I'd give it a 4 to 4.5 at the moment.

Very Pleased with our Purchase!
We purchased this set recently (65in.) and hung it on the wall in our living room which definitely requires 2 people as the set weighs 50+ lbs. I went through the (lengthy) set up process bypassing the options I found intrusive. Once completed I hooked the set to our HD cable box, an external Roku 2 media device and of course the internet via our 5G cable modem. I had some problems getting the set to connect at 5G so I initially configured it at 2G and then switched it to 5G after completing the initial setup at which point it worked fine. Maybe the software update performed during the initial setup helped things 5G wise, who knows!I followed the recommended picture settings I found in Consumer reports and am quite pleased with the results. (FYI, you must configure the settings individually for each HDMI port and for the Smart TV Streaming applications) The settings are designed to produce lifelike color which we prefer. We’ve been watching the set for several weeks now and I’m quite pleased overall. I use the internal Android streaming apps for Amazon and Netflix to gain access to the 4K content they offer. I’ll soon replace my external Roku with a 4K capable device as my wife and I both prefer their user interface. We use Roku devices on all our sets and having a common interface keeps things simple. We’ve viewed 4K content on Netflix and it is quite amazing. It’s easy to get spoiled watching it, kind of like when we first purchased a HD tv. It make you wish everything was in 4K but having said that regular HD looks great on this set also. I’m not a huge sports fan but NFL games look great on this set. Watching movies is a real pleasure also and the sound quality is quite good even with the internal speakers. We watched the Bruce Springsteen on Broadway special on Netflix and it was great but I did use external speakers for that. Overall I’m very happy with this set and would recommend it for anyone looking to purchase a 4K smart TV.

Stellar Performer
I purchased the 75" Sony X900F for my new basement theater room in May. It was delivered on May 15, 2020 and we wall mounted it the same day. I have been using this TV for over 1 month. This is by far the most impressive TV I have ever owned. I did about 3 months of research before buying. In the end, I decided the additional performance of OLED TVs from Sony and LG cannot possibly be worth the extreme price premium for the OLEDs in the 75 inch or 77 inch sizes. I am now very happy with my decision. 1080p content looks incredible on this TV. Also, it's true what they say about Sony's motion handling. Once you adjust the settings properly, motion in action scenes is the best I've ever seen on a TV. I have been watching lots of Sci-Fi content with dark scenes and scenes in outer space. I have not yet noticed any blooming issues with Local Dimming when set to medium. The picture quality is stunning to my eyes. This is also the first smart TV I have owned that remembers where I left off with content in nearly every app I have installed. Very convenient. I also have my Sony A/V unit and 5.1 speakers connected. And now I'm playing with an Nvidia Shield Pro for steaming local content. I'm not sure I'll ever be motivated to go to a movie theater again. It's that good! I'm in love with this TV. Best money I've spent! Thank you Sony for continuing to produce exceptional products!

Amazing picture quality, black levels, and motion handling, only has minor drawbacks!
Had this unit a few days, and it is amazing! Black levels are great, and its color accuracy is near perfect. I calibrated using Rtings.com calibration settings, but went up to 20 brightness and it looks Superb! Hooked it up to the Sony UBP-X700 and watched Spiderman: Homecoming, amazing shadow detail and motion handling during action scenes.Have also done a good amount of gaming on my PS4 Pro and watching Netflix through the TV app. TV handles input lag very well, did not notice any during games like Apex legends, Madden 19, and Star Wars: Battlefront 2, very smooth in my opinion.Almost all Netflix content had some static to an extent, but I think that is the stream, not the tv. Discs have no static. There is also a digital noise reducer setting i just noticed, I dont think I had that on when watching netflix.Blooming is there, but it never bothers me, it only appears during loading screens and some title menus. But I have not noticed it during a game or movie yet.I did not test the TV's speakers since I have it hooked up to my AV receiver and surround soundOverall an amazing television, great picture quality and motion handling. Limited number of dimming zones does cause blooming sometimes, but not enough to worry

Best midrange TV out there
I was looking for a 65" tv and did a lot of research. Most of my TV watching is from streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon prime etc. So I need to have a solid os built in. It has Dolby vision on it and looks great with Stranger Things. It has a few modes to set video preference and at night it looks fantastic and greatly improves our TV experience. It has been over a month now. It has Dolby digital pass-through and ARC. It is totally worth the money and it can be a great TV for home theater.

Best mid-range TV from high quality manufacturerSony but having quite tough time getting the product
This is my first time owning a TV after 5-6 years not using a TV so it takes me a little bit of time in getting used to this TV LOL.- This Sony X900F is a great 4k TV with impressive picture quality with a variety of picture modes that you can access to like gaming, cinema home/pro, vivid color, sport, etc. . The TV shows really high quality of pictures especially in a dark room due to the high native contrast ratio and full array local dimming support.- Even though I only bought the 49 inches version of this Sony TV, it's pretty big I can say since I only have it for my bedroom and I locate it at the far end of my bed so that I can easily enjoy watching YouTube and playing games from my PS 4 Pro on this 49 inches screen.- 4K content from my PS4 Pro is displayed beautifully on this TV with amazing response time and high level of brightness.- The TV excels at HDR as it can produce bright, vivid highlights.- Motion handling is also excellent due to the fast response time and ability to flicker the backlight to clear up motion.- The main negative is the narrow viewing angle, so the best image quality is reserved for those directly in front of the TV. In addition, even though ELECTRONIQUE HI-FI INC. is known for their reputation and they did a good job in sending me a GOOD and BRAND NEW product, but their delivery partner - Lommis Express - is not that good. Their live chat staff seem to just want to finish their job with the customers since they always ask me whether I am done asking even though I only asked them a few simple questions to keep track on my parcel because it was delivered LATER than it was expected and Loomis' tracking system is not helpful at all . I had 3 times live chatting with Loomis and their staff's attitude are kind of rude and not customer's friendly even though I am really polite to them. However, the delivery guy was nice and he did a good job in picking up and delivering my TV.Overall, a great TV to have, especially for those who are not really concerning about its a bit high price, I got this one on sale so it's good enough to me. Despite its price, high quality, stability and satisfaction are what you will definitely get back in return. Thanks ELECTRONIQUE HI-FI INC for your service and great job. Hopefully you guys all stay well, safe and healthy during this pandemic.

Deep Blacks
Matt finish and not strikingly sharp images like the QHD Samsung and OLED LG tv's where it hurts your eyes. Just what a TV should be. No dead pixels out of the box, and really easy to set up and start using. The colors are extremely impressive as the black levels on the LCD panel is exceptional. Colors have more contrast, and cinematic movies has more detail coming out due to the deep black levels which enhances the brightness of dark areas. It is not the grey back light that makes the screen brighter. Sound quality can be better, but it is on par with all other premium TV's on the market.
