PC Slow To Start Up? Then You Need This SSHD
These drives are the bis, aprox 4 x faster than my old Deskstar boot drives, silent, nice.If your PC is slow to start up, this is a great place to make some improvements for very little money.

This 1000GB Hybrid drive replaces a 500GB conventional drive that was only 20% full.To start computer, log in, open the BBC News website, open Excel and open a certain recent spreadsheet previously (old drive) took 3min 59secs, now (new drive) takes vastly varying times but usually 2min 37secs. A descent speed increase but not 75% saving hoped for. My computer may have, of course, other problems slowing it down that I don't know about.

Good cost/benefit
If you are upgrading because you need more space, it is a good option.If you are after speed, think twice. Seagate claims that with this drive, a computer can boot up nearly as fast as if it was using an SSD drive. It is an exaggeration, to say the least. I installed a brand new Windows 10 in a fast computer (Intel i7, 16 GB RAM) and it takes 2 ½ minutes to boot up.To sum up, I believe it is a bit faster than a normal HD, but one can barely feel it.
