Un livre qui permet de bien déterminer l'origine du traumatisme et de comprendre sa prise en charge. Il indique clairement l'état des connaissances et l'approche reconnu pour une prise en charge et une guérison. Un outil indispensable en traumatologie sportive. Toutefois il ne faut pas se tromper, ce n'est pas un manuel de premiers soins ou de médecine, il ne vise pas à nous apprendre les geste à poser pour la prise en charge mais mentionne le traitement reconnu et les nuances.

The book is for the most a collection of injuries divided by type (based on anatomy). As someone who wants to train safely, this is of little use. I was hoping I would get guidance on what makes a specific exercise or movement dangerous, and how to avoid injury, with real examples (like an extended, in-depth version of Bill DeSimone's books), but this really isn't, and I am probably not the target audience for this book. It's more of a quick support guide. I am returning it since nowadays, most of the information on specific injuries and pathologies can be found online, so I don't see the utility of such a book, at least not for personal use. It also contains little imagery, with virtually nothing make you understand why a certain movement can cause injury. What is more difficult to find, is a book that guides you through safe training. I also found the information about stretching and warm-ups somewhat outdated, and I am not convinced of their utility, based on what I've read so far. The book may still be worth it for some people.
