FULL OF INSIGHT
I love this book! Read it in a day. Full of useful, usable information from the Buddhist perspective. A great intro to Buddhist philosophy as told by 2 dogs, and a bookshelf. Their quest for enlightenment is spot on for any who journey the path. I highly recommend this read. Though a delightful, pleasant read, the information in this book is significant for all seeking enlightenment.

Loved this book!
I have been waiting for this book ever since I saw it on social media, and it was everything I expected and more. The synopsis is fairly accurate, it’s a wonderful story which captured my imagination from the start. I found it to be quite humorous and it has so many memorable characters, not just the narrator and Half Sister, I loved The Bookshelf. It’s very well written, very descriptive but not overly so, as I find some books to be. I’m normally an obsessive reader, once I start a book nothing gets done until I finish it, but this I found to be a book to savour, I absolutely loved it.

A Little Book of Happy
Fun to read, and thoroughly uplifting. A complete joy – 5 StarsWhether you’re just beginning to explore mindfulness, have been practising Buddhist philosophy for a number of years, or just looking for an uplifting and humorous read, this book will surely hit the spot. Seen through the imagined perspective of two springer spaniels, this packs a mini introduction to Buddhist teachings into a very readable package.I’m not usually one to enjoy books that rely on anthropomorphism as a vehicle to tell a story, but this was done so well it was a pleasure to read from the first page to the last. While I laughed at the antics of the spaniels and enjoyed the contributions from ‘The Bookcase’, the informative content of the book was never lost. The balance between humour and learning is just about perfect.‘The Enlightened Spaniel’ packs a lot into its pages too. Woven into the story, there is a complete series of suggested meditation practices, a guide to the principles of Buddhism, plus a little poetry and several notable quotations. The reference list at the end of the book is especially helpful should you decide to take your interest further.Above all, this is a book that simply made me feel happy. Excellent!

Excellent read
I practice meditation and bought this book after reading about it in a Tibetan paper. I loved it. Some bits had me laughing so much I had to stop reading. I then lent it to my cousin who then bought two copies one for herself to re-read and one to send onto a friend. I will definitely read it again and keep telling people to buy it. Brilliant book. Buy it.

Biased by the dog!
Anything with or about Springer Spaniels I am besotted with & this small book is no less than delightful. Maybe one needs to have owned a Springer or two to appreciate fully the individual chapters with these gorgeous dogs. But add to the mix a little Buddhist teachings is even more entertaining. An easy read that can be picked up at anytime with sketches that add to the character of this book. Definitely a keep sake on my bookshelf. Loved it.

What a Read!!
Love this book. Great read and interesting topic. I have 2 Springer Spaniels myself, so found it amusing and realised that it's not just my 2 that behave in some weird ways. I originally bought 2 copies, but got a signed copy from the author. The other 2 books I gave to friends. I have told loads of friends and family to get a copy. I also recently downloaded a copy to my Kindle so that I can read it wherever I am.
