A very sweet and touching story
I bought this to read aloud at Christmastime to my two young sons. I was excited to find a Christmas book by the same author and illustrator combo who are behind the Bear Snores On books! The way this story sweetly weaves in Jesus and why He came to earth, with the excellent illustrations is absolutely perfect. We all loved it!

Sweet Christmas story
I like that this book is a Christian story, but a different perspective.

Perfect book for little Christians
I’m a sucker for children’s Christmas books that have a strong Christian or true-meaning-of-Christmas theme. I’m also a sucker for lovely illustrations. And this book checks off everything on the list. The illustrations are vibrant and clear, and depict lots of well known Christmas images. The little mouse Mortimer is relatable to small children - being tiny in a house that’s built for someone much larger than yourself, searching for something just right for you. Mortimer doesn’t like his dark, dingy hole in the wall so he goes in search of something more warm and cozy. He comes across the nativity and decides to make his home there. But one night he learns who the home belongs to, and what he does will be a surprise to the tiny reader. The book came in perfect condition and my child has now asked to bring it to school to share with his class. If you like this book you’ll also love Room for a a Little One.

A Christmas Favorite
This heartwarming story features Mortimer, a mouse, who lives in a dark, scary spot behind the wall. Each day he comes out looking for yummy bits left behind when one day he finds the most amazing thing— a house just his size.Mortimer climbs the Christmas tree while ornaments fall to the floor to discover the manger, but it is full! Full of the most petite people Mortimer has ever seen. Read along as Mortimer learns the story of Jesus and the manger and how there was no room at the Inn.This beautiful book was written and illustrated by the creative geniuses behind “Bear Snores On” Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman. This is one of our Christmas favorites.

così così
mi aspettavo un libro più grande, più corposo. Mi hanno un pò deluso i disegni, le pagine sono piuttosto sottili, poco opportuno se maneggiato da bambini.
