Yuasa YUAM229BY YB9-B Battery, Multi-Colored

Bought this battery because these batteries from yausa have always been reliable for me. This battery came without acid. I had to make a separate trip to Murray’s and spent ten more dollars for the acid. I should have read the reviews a bit closer. In the future, I will probably never buy it like this again.

But you have to get the battery fluids which is not possible to find online. So you would have to take this to your local bike shop to have it filled.

The instructions that came with the battery from the manufacturer say to fill it with the bottle of acid that was sent with the battery, but sadly, there was no acid sent with this delivery.After spending over $60 with tax for an empty plastic battery-shaped box, I then had to drive around town acquiring battery acid ($26), Nitril gloves ($6) a box of Baking Soda ($3) and a pair of eye protection goggles ($7) so I could begin the dangerous process of making this battery work.My advice is to set aside another $40 for acid and safety equipment, and if you've never filled a car/motorcycle battery before, don't do it until you've watched a couple of safety videos on YouTube. Battery Acid is nasty stuff. Don't be even remotely careless while filling this thing.

Buyer beware this battery is sold and shipped dry without the asset included, it is in the fine print so they won’t take it back or refund your money, just putting it out there on the reviews so you know what you’re actually paying $67 for, which by the way is an outrageous price for an empty battery! Do not buy from the sellers

You will have to buy battery acid and install it yourself. I always forget to make sure it comes with motorcycle and scooter batteries.BE CAREFUL. it feels slippery while the acid is starting to eat through your skin. Then it starts to hurt. A lot.Put the acid in the battery near a water hose or near a sink. rinse your hands with lots of water when you're done.

Fits the bike perfect and the has the right cranking power, this is better then going to Walmart and trying to match it to your bike.

This is an outstanding battery. The problem is that it does not come with the electrolyte (acid) required to make it an actual.. battery. Why Yuasa does this is beyond me. again, an outstanding battery when you find the proper acid to get it going. I purchased mine at the local auto parts store, so it is not hard to find.Keep in mind this is not a maintenance free battery, and you will have to fill it with acid to start and water to maintain... if this is a problem, please find a AGM or lithum battery.. that will be at a premium. for what I needed this for, it is excellent.

Don't ever take the cheap route with any other battery. Worth the difference in price.

Great price for this name battery only thing battery is dry

Solid battery. Annoying it didn't come with acid as it was hard to find locally. No one was willing to sell me acid but a local Canadian Tire filled it free of charge. There was the minor white corrosion around some of the terminals but the battery has been going strong for over a year in a really power hungry scooter (40kv ignition). Would buy again. 5 store would be given if provided with the acid too.

JUNK... I used the battery verification to determine that it would fit my motorcycle and when it arrived I stopped by my local Napa store to put acid in it. When I got home and tried it in the bike it was half the size I needed. 1" to short 1.5" to narrow and nearly 2" to short. Now there is acid in it and I can't return it so I have wasted $67.00 including acid and have no use for it. It is junk to me.DON'T TRUST the battery verification associated with the battery sales section of this web site.
