CatEye Unisex's Ampp 800 Front Bicycle Light, Black, One Size

As someone who commutes by bike daily both through a town and a national park, I need a reliable light that is long lasting and rugged. This light may seem expensive, but it is worth every cent as it has not failed me for months. I previously owned a more expensive light that had a broken strap and power button within a couple of years. This one is clearly built much better. The system to remove the like is well thought out. It is very fast to remove the light for charging, or even to switch to a different bike. I don't even charge if very often as I rarely use the highest setting despite cycling in unlit areas. The 200 lumen setting is often enough, but it is great to have the 800 lumen option for sketch sections of road or path. The flashing light is fantastic to stay safe in areas of traffic. I recommend this light to anyone who commutes.Pros:- Long lasting battery- Very bright, and has a range of useful settings- Very durable and rugged- Charging port is easy to access but also well sealedCons:- USB C charging would be great

Great bike light that has a number of differing brightness options (great for stretching out the battery life, which is excellent none-the-less). Easy to charge, tough & very bright. Has survived one or two drops without issue. This model (Cateye AMPP800) has the advantage of a removeable back (via star screws) which means you should be able to source a replacement battery when needed, as opposed to binning it). Doesn't seem to mind the cold or rain, either. Helpful power indicator (blue, orange & red LED power button) is good as a visual yardstick, giving peace of mind while out in the dark. Recommended.

Amazing great front light

Great light with a decent run time for dark and poorly lit roads, or in my case canal towpath. On/Off button for changing light modes/ brightness also indicates run time of built in rechargeable battery.Compact well constructed light with a sturdy aluminium body that comes with a mounting bracket that's fits multiple bar sizes. Arrived bang on time and was well packaged with easy to follow instructions.

For the price this is a very capable little light.The build quality is solid in my opinion, similar to lights I've paid twice the amount for and attaching to my bike handlebars with the supplied bracelet was very easy.It has a nice range of functions for different conditions - I've used it in the pitch black mornings and it lights up country lanes no problem. It has good side visibility and 2 flash modes that I'd say would happily be bright enough even for day use.The only reason for 4 stars not 5 is the battery life .... on either of the top 2 settings I get just under an hour from fully charged before it indicators a medium battery warning (however all use so far has been between 1 - 4 degrees C ). This is adequate and this light is very bright but it may just be something to be aware of since I often cycle 2 - 3 hours and would need to allow for this

Build quality is incredible, the light output of the 800 lumen is also insane, best on the market
