I Wrote This for You

I spaced out my reading of this book over the course of several months, just because each night I did felt really special. It's a wonderful collection of thoughtful poems, so many of which felt relevant to me, whilst at the same time having countless viewpoints that they could be interpreted differently from. The author has a unique talent at conveying emotion, and I can truthfully say that not many books I've read have made me challenge my own thoughts and opinions quite like this. I highly recommend it.

This book was such a relief to read- Never have I read something so similar to my own writing style. Iain manages to touch a nerve; as it's both heartbreaking and heartwarming. the images go so well with the writing. It's definitely worth a re-read!

I absolutely loved it. It's a very special one , a keeper! The whole concept was loveable and Iain's words are phenomenal. Haven't read anything like this before. My only concern was abou the paperback. The condition was good, it was obviously a brand new copy but some pages were already off when it got in my hands and some others got off during reading. But i think it was a press matter and doesn't have to do with the store I got it from , the staff , the post or the amazon in general. I strongly recommend this ! Can't wait for part II !

Iain just has a way with his words in these collections. "I Wrote This For You" was my first read of his and it brought me to tears, had me smiling and hoping, but above all, it inspired me. I have loved it so much that I even recommend it and gift it to my special people.

This book is beautiful, really, but I definitely think it's worth buying the actual printed book. I bought it for my kindle because it's a fraction of the cost of the book, but the problem is that the images are such a big part of the book/website, and you really can't see them properly on the kindle. They're not terrible, but they're small and black and white and quite dark, so you definitely miss out. I also suspect that the flow of the text is broken up and interrupted somewhat on the kindle and is probably set out better in the book format. I Wrote This For You is beautiful and you should definitely read it! If you can, go for the book version. The kindle version is the next best thing and still enjoyable, but I really think you miss out on experiencing the images as they should be viewed.

This book is from the heart, it fills your heart and your tear ducts, you want to contact lost loves then realise you don't. Inspirational! Live, love, cry, smile and dance in the rain.

lovely. comforting. makes you think about things and makes you cry. it makes you want to call your ex that you're still in love with and tell them.

This book is just amazing. The best way, I think, to describe it, is beautifully depressing. This is more than a book. It is every thought in my mind and all the things I've yet to think. It's everything I've wanted to say, all the words I've never spoken. I've never read anything so beautiful and pure. This says everything, while saying nothing at all. It says that everything will be OK, no matter the circumstance. And it says that nothing is impossible, as long as you believe it. Love is a tragedy and this book just captures everything about that. It shows how beautiful love can be, as well. It just captures everything in such a powerful and fragile way. It is the essence of life itself and I feel like these words have changed me and given me hope. I feel like if I hadn't read this, then I'd just be empty.

I got it for myself as a little birthday gift, and the quotes are just amazing, some of them even left me thinking for 20 minutes

Great collection of poetry.

Amazing book, every page made you feel something. It pierces through your heart and the pictures reflect every word written.
