I’ve owned this for three weeks now, so this is still an early days review, but these early results are promising. I have fair skin, and mosquitoes find it irresistible. If I don’t cover myself in insect repellent spray when we go out, I get bitten, and it takes literal weeks for the bites to go away. During the great summer heatwave of 2026, I was sleeping with the windows wide open, and the mosquitoes must have been lining up to do their thing, because I’d wake up with new bites every morning, even if I sprayed my bedsheets and pyjamas with repellent. Buying this was a last ditch attempt to avoid sleeping with the windows shut. This thing works. Not one mosquito bite on the first night, or any night since. I’ve even found the odd dead fly on the carpet, so it’s doing its job. It’s plugged in beside my bed, on a timer switch. I have it active between 9pm and 11:30pm, and as you can see from the photo, there’s still plenty of fluid left after three weeks of daily usage. I will say that while I generally forget it’s there, as it’s silent, I will get a whiff of chemically fragrance once or maybe twice per night, but it’s soon gone, much like the mosquitoes it’s killing. Easy and effective. It has a UK plug. It is intended for UK use, so if you’re taking it abroad, you’ll need to take a plug converter. You can’t switch the built in plug for another country’s - that part of the unit is not removable. I’m very pleased with it. I’ve not had one bite since plugging this in, and it will easily last me the rest of the summer based on my current usage, so I think it’s good value. My bedroom is a mosquito free zone at last.

Seems to work but as AI is unable to say it was safe around my dog will not purchase again. If it is not safe around pets it should say so in the description BEFORE I buy, not for me to contact the product manufacturer.

Whilst this seemed to keep the bugs at bay, the bottle of repellant does not easily detach and reseal with the top, so not good for travelling around. As we were on a tour, this was a considerable issue. We managed 3 hotel moves by using hair ties & plastic bag. But this is far from ideal and meant getting the repellent on hands, clothes and surfaces which was not good.

*UPDATE October 20th 2023* I wanted to edit my review to say since we have used the plug in + refills, we have had no bites. Today I have ordered another one for the upstairs. There are a lot of small black flies around, they are around all the time, more so with the humidity. These little flying insects do bite, as do mosquitos. My bedroom downstairs is still working well, and I have been keeping mine on day and night. The refill won’t last as long doing it this way, but the cost is nothing compared to risking a hospital visit for us. I still highly recommend them, and still continue to have the refills on subscribe and save. I feel these are excellent and do the trick. ————————————————————————————————————————————————— My first initial review….. Considering my husband is allergic to any bites, from house flies, mosquitos, it’s a nightmare to get anything to work. Because epipens do not last long, we had to find something that works in our home. The sad fact is, bites are very serious for my husband and over the past few weeks have seen an increased amount of mosquitos because of the rain, climate, and humidity. I am 100% saying these plug ins work. The images you see of my husband were taken two days because I sent off for the plug in, it was our last resort. That morning he was bitten six times on the eye lid, and cheek, it was awful. Every night he takes antihistamines, good job he did, otherwise I hate to think what he would look like. Thank goodness this pushed me into getting a plug in, never used one before, except abroad, I never thought about these in my own home. My husbands face is back to normal now, before the plug in I was bitten six times on the arm, the images you see is going down now. I wanted to show the images just to say how much these plug ins have helped us both, now with climate change, there are so many mosquitoes, flies, ants, goodness knows what, they are always in the home. When the plug in arrived I de bugged my bed, washed everything and cleaned my carpets and washed the curtains. When the plug in arrived, it does stated to turn off in the day, and leave on through the night. I wanted to leave my plug in for the first two days on all day and night. The days and nights that followed neither of us had any bites, so far so good. The actual plug in at review was around £11.99 and refills £5.99 at review. I have the refills on subscribe and save now, for my husband at least, these save him from a trip to the hospital each time. I can honestly say this make mosquito and fly plug in is exceptional, and have the proof that these do work. Didn't last so long Was expected better

I bought two of these as this year has been horrendous and whatever is in these little biters is much worse than before as both my child and myself have developed an allergic reaction. We bought these hoping it would make it safe at night but nothing has changed. 60 new bites. He looks like he has chickenpox. But to be honest nothing has worked that is safe. Doesn’t smell so that’s a plus. If it worked it would be worth paying for. But it’s simply not able to beat these pests at the moment. They have evolved in to super critters. Quick edit. It smells terrible. Took a couple of days and we thought we had mould. As soon as we unplugged it the smell went away.
