The HD-RLC remote level controller works with JL Audio's HD Series and XD Series amplifiers and many marine amps, allowing you to manage your level settings from the front of your vehicle. The HD-RLC adjusts your amplifier's level, not its "bass boost," so you maintain the same bass quality as you turn the volume up and down.

Universal
NVX amp with a ‘phone jack’ style bass knob. Cable was already ran so I just swapped the knobs out.Set the volume low on the HU, turned original knob to max, turned the car off, swapped knobs, turned the JL knob to max, turn car on & adjust the knob.Worked just like it should! This feels a lot higher quality & how it mounts is very ‘from the factory’. Little pricey yes, but worth every penny.

A Must have when adding a sub
I have the Jl Audio HO112 12W6V3 and a XD600 v3 amp. This works great I have had amps in the past that had remotes that worked by adjusting the bass boost. This control the gain (output level) of amp and is like having a volume level for your sub. A must have if you listen to all kinds of music and have a sub added to a factory system. Every song has different levels and types of bass so being able to adjust to this is a necessity. Get this product you won’t be sorry

Better granular control than stereo sub vol
Being able to adjust the sub's gain or "boost" with a knob like this gives people the ability to do multiple things that, depending on your set up, might just be impossible or complicated otherwise. You can adjust for each song, turn it off for making calls via bluetooth so that everyone on the block cant hear your convo, kill the bass quickly if you see a cop, etc, etc.

I love JL but this bass knob did not Work
I’m a big fan of JL audio, but this bass knob Did not Work at all, and all my components were also JL brand (amp, amp kit, and subs) I didn’t bother sending back because it was cheap and rather then go through the hassle I was able to pick another one from a local shop. So I give1 Star, and it irks me cause Ilove JL

Using this bass knob with my HD 900/5 and it works perfectly and it a must have in my opinion especially if you wantcontrol over your bass at lower volumes.Make sure you get the proper remote for you amps, I see people complaining about these remotes not working with theiramps and they have purchased the wrong remote.There are (2) remotes:JL Audio HD-RLC Remote Level Control for JL Audio HD / MHD AmplifiersandJL Audio RBC 1 Remote Bass Control (For the 500/1 & 1000/1 series amps)Make sure you get the right remote for your amp, if you do then you will not have any issues.Great price for an added feature and it comes with plenty of cable for long runs.

Subwoofer volume knob
I am using this level control with my XD700/5 - JL Audio 5-Channel 700W Class D Amplifier to control the subwoofer volume. I have not had any issues with the product and it works as advertised. I mounted this on my center console and it looks very professional.Not all music or even song has the same amount of bass. In addition my mood changes and subsequently my desire for bass level. This knob makes it easy and convenient to change you bass volume level without having to either change your amp gain (on the unit) or the bass level in your head unit.Highly recommended.

This thing is essential
They really should just package it with all the monoblock amps, I don't know how you could live without it. Slim little unit, and you can pull off the casing to make it even slimmer. I flush mounted it in my panel blanks. Looks great and is very useful. Mine controls my amp for my sub, and I listen to a lot of different music, so I'm constantly adjusting the volume.Connects to the amp with a standard telephone wire (in case you want to use a shorter/longer wire, or you're like me and were too anxious to run the wiring before the package was delivered).

Didn't work correctly on my xd600.1 amp.
Update, seller will not refund my money or replace the item. Complete junk, read the reviews before you decide on buying this item. The same issue is repeated with other buyers. Bass jumps up and down, either to u can hear bass or no bass at all.
