They Work!
I battled a bed bug problem in my previous apartment. I am happy to say, however, that the issue did not originate in my apartment but rather my downstairs neighbors who had a massive infestation. To the chagrin of everyone, the tenants below me attempted to treat the bed bugs themselves using fumigation and store bought products instead of calling an exterminator. Subsequently the bugs retreated into the walls and upwards towards my apartment.I never had an infestation in my apartment, but every so often a bed bug would climb up through the floor or a radiator, bite me and my girlfriend, and either retreat to our blinds (yes our blinds) or find a new home in our bed. This process went on for months... and it was horrible. And since the bugs were now in the walls, the treatment the exterminator performed on the building only "thinned the herd."I bought the Climb up Interceptors here on amazon just hoping that they would work, and damn do they work well. Within the first couple weeks we caught 5 or 6 bed bugs headed to our bed from our radiator. Eventually they just die in the trap.I would recommend this to anyone dealing with bedbugs - just make sure your sheets never touch the ground!Having these around your bed helps you in two ways.1. Prevents the bed bugs from getting on your bed.2. Isolates your bed from the ground and the rest of your room, which in turn can tell you if they are living IN your bed - I was able to determine they were in my bed frame using this method, which ultimately lead me to becoming bed bug free.

Only thing that worked
We tried everything to get rid of bedbugs. These really worked.

Good for trapping bed bugs
We had bed bugs in 2012 - nightmare! We didn't have them that bad but they were a pain to get rid of. Jeff White from bedbugcentral.com recommended this along with puffing diatomaceous earth powder into floor boards. It's not an instant kill but is effective & if you can catch & kill them then you avoid chemicals. I ended up throwing out my son's new mattress cuz it got sprayed with chemicals. We also got zip-up bed bug-proof mattress protectors & pillow protectors. And I got metal frames for our bed. There are no box springs. If I had box springs I would get a zip-up boxspring encasement, too. Good luck to ya. Don't let it make you too crazy. Breathe...

Save yourself some $$$...
...if you can wait for the products to get to you from Amazon, you can do just as good a job defeating bed bugs as the professionals will - probably better, because you have a more personal interest. First of all, never buy pillows or mattresses without buying bed bug-proof pillow and mattress covers from Target (they might be available elsewhere, but I found them at Target). If you don't use these covers and you get bed bugs, your mattresses and pillows are pretty well shot. We didn't and we learned the hard way. When we got bed bugs, we had to throw them in the dumpster and buy news ones. Covers are critical. Don't spend big $$$ on mattresses and pillows without buying protective covers for them. If you do get bed bugs, three products will wipe them out. Put Climbup Insect Interceptors under each bed post. If you have supports under your mattress, put one under each support, too. The Interceptors come in different sizes. Fill the trough of the Interceptors with Diatomaceous Earth. Diatomaceous Earth is harmless to humans, but rips bed bugs and other insects to shreds. Also, make sure your bed is not touching the wall. Sprayaway Bed Bugs is very effective for spraying around your house or apartment. You can use it to spray the perimeter and anywhere else - it doesn't stain or harm walls, woodwork, carpeting, furniture, etc. Once I used these products, it not only killed the bed bugs, it killed the eggs and hatching bed bugs. Bed bugs are masters at hiding, so you have to seek them out. Spray anywhere there are cracks and other hiding places, including any spaces where your bed parts fit together - you might have to take your bed apart to get to these areas. Bed bugs like to hide behind pictures on the wall, too. If there's any space between your bathroom mirror and the wall, they'll hide in there, too, and lay eggs. I sprayed the entire apartment - anywhere there could be bed bugs hiding, then vacuumed everywhere about a week later - especially between the carpet and woodwork. Then I sprayed everything again. That did the job. Bed bugs are nasty. They suck your blood at night and then s*** your blood all over the place. If you see black spots all over your mattress, bed lines, curtains, windows, etc, that's a sure sign you've got bed bugs. I don't have sensitive skin, but my wife does. They left red welts all over her neck and body. We don't know where they came from, but they can come into your place lots of ways - luggage, parcels, groceries, and other stuff that you buy. We live near the bed bug capital of the U.S. - Cincinnati, Ohio. Bed bugs are a big problem in movie theatres, college campuses, stores - you name it. It's something you think will never happen to you until you discover your house or apartment has been infested. Then you have to go to war with them. You can call the professionals or fight them yourself with these products. We did both. Between that and all the stuff we had to throw out, bed bugs must have cost me about $4,000.00 - but it would have been much less if we had known about the mattress and pillow covers.
