Best of Norman Rockwell

What a beautifully laid out book and the photos of Rockwell's work are wonderful. As a kid I loved to stare at his art on the covers of the Saturday Evening Post. If ou are a Norman Rockwell fan (or know someone who is) I think this book is a must for your library!

This book is filled with beautiful prints of Norman Rockwell’s art. Also there’s so much information about him making this a great gift or coffee table treasure that one will never tire of looking through.

On Amazon, I like to go to the negative reviews first because I want to determine if there is a consistent quality issue or just a few psychopaths who are so angry, they are doing their best to get their version of justice by placing a negative review. One can usually read between the lines and see the retribution folks. I wasn't sure what to expect of this book since there were a fair amount of consistently negative reviews, and by consistent, I am referring to the image quality...normally this kind of consistency is a flag for me. However, I wanted to buy a Norman Rockwell book to introduce my son to his amazing storytelling capabilities. Additionally, we are talking about art here, not something mechanical and people get emotional about art in a way that is different, and for good reason. If you are looking for a book with image quality so high you can see his brush strokes, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for images where the details are good enough that you can see the menu in the background, the missing button on the sleeve, the untied shoelace, the headline for the newspaper, then this book provides that. It's everything you need to see the story being told. There's a good selection of his art and they are presented by decade. Is it everything I dreamed for $23? No. Is it worth the price, yes, every penny.

A great insight into the man and his life

It will be a great gift for my husband's birthday.

The "Best of Norman Rockwell" has been a huge treat for us. Even adult children and grandchildren have taken the time to carefully look through the many beautifully appointed pages and art work of this master who captured the 20th century. Highly recommend this to be a center-piece in your living room! Amazon's packaging and timeliness were perfect.

I was looking for one particular illustration of Mr. Rockwells':this book did not happen to contain the one I was looking for. However I thoroughly enjoyed it. I keep it out on the end table, and the family and all visitors, regardless of what they say about Rockwell, will look at it. And enjoy it, admit it or not. An excellent book by a great American artist!

No me esperaba que fuera tan increíble por su tamaño, y por la calidad y tamaño de los dibujos e ilustraciones. ¡Y por un precio de saldo! El libro es enorme, de tapa dura, con sobrecubierta y con muchos dibujos e ilustraciones (todas a página completa o en doble pàgina) y poco texto (el esencial para identificar las imágenes) , organizadas por décadas y seleccionadas por el hijo del ilustrador. Una buena elección, si te gusta la obra de Norman Rockwell y los libros bonitos.
