For several hundred years Waterford Crystal has been a premier lead crysta producel. This is not to say that high quality crystal hasn't been made in Germany/Austria area, but I have not read any reviews to know any comparisons. Waterford has been hit with the worldwide recessions several times, and actually closed their doors at least once. Today, they outsource much of their products, but under their specifications. I think I saw on my package that these glasses were made somewhere in Russia. I don't care as long as the quality is there. I tested both these glasses by rubbing a wet finger around the rims, and they began singing very nicely. That's the best test you can perform. I have several genuine Waterford pieces handed down to me, and they are equal in quality in my opinion. I will continue to stay with purchases directly with Waterford, or their authorized Distributors.

A relative had these tumblers on their bridal registry (major department store). I loved the looks, but the cost was $150 for two of them. I checked on Amazon and they were considerably cheaper ($114). I was worried maybe they weren't the same tumbler, looking at the small picture. I decided to take a chance and ordered them anyway. They were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. The bride and groom were extremely happy!

Having a lead crystal Waterford glass to drink single malt Scotch from is pure delight!

I'm mobile, so this will be brief. These glasses were part of a first Father's Day present and they were purchased as a last minute afterthought. The glasses were so impressive and beautiful that they outshone items I'd spent weeks procuring. The pictures don't come close to doing justice. The crystal is cut clean with perfect definition and crisp lines. Perfect in a way only Waterford can be.As a side note; I paid for next day delivery, I was blown away when they arrived that Sunday!

Got these for my husband for his nightly cocktail. Very beautiful. He loves them.
