Quickbooks Online For Dummies, 5e (For Dummies (Computer/Tech))

Just what i needed

This book was recommended to me by my cousin who has been using QuickBooks and QBO in his accounting and tax business. Quite successfully, I might add. I was looking for a new career that I could work from anywhere to supplement my retirement income. He suggested this book as a way to see if bookkeeping/accounting would really interest me.

Good information

The Dummies books are usually great, but this one was too hard for me to read. I wear glasses, but even then the print was too small for me.

Very easy to follow. All points covered in simple to understand language.

this book is ok but not is as much for an accountant as a user. Additionally, it skips over some very important topics.Very difficult to find a good manual for QB online. Dummies books are not as good as they use to be..it has become a money game I think.

I have not found this helpful. Every time I looked up a question I had, I could not find the answer.Not worth the price.

This publication lacks sufficient detail on many aspects of QB Online. It is totally different from their desktop version and even says they have changed many important features. The book hardly addresses the construction of custom reports, or importing them from your desktop version. I was very disappointed in the book and found it to be of very limited value.

Awesome book, easy to follow and learn

Very helpful explanations and good tips on things I could never google or find in the "quickbooks Community".

I ended up having to take a college QuickBooks course as I feel this book just couldn't cover enough information. I know it's 'For Dummies' but it really is dumbed down to the point where you can't find any information if you encounter a unique situation. Even a standard question can't be answered straightforward or even addressed. For example, 'How do I do write offs?' Nope! You'll have to ask an accountant how to do that. It's a shame!

Terrible layout on Kindle edition - about 2 paragraphs per screen, would love to return it (as per paper book) but stuck with it now. Don't waste money on Kindle version - buy a paper copy
