Does this watch tell you the date?

Yes but only on the main digital display. If you use the world time function you have to scroll to see the date.

What size is the band…20MM?

The G-Shock line of watches have proprietary strap attachments and can't use normal replacement watch straps without a special adapter. If you want to switch straps search for an adapter that matches the model number of the G-Shock and see what watch band width it uses.

The band on the watch is it a 18mm band or a 16mm band?

It is tapered 26 mm where it is connecting to the watch 18 mm at the buckle
