Waffen Ss Uniforms and Insignia

This is a fine work with much useful information for the "beginner" and "advanced" collector alike. Much thought as to background detail and specifics were put into this work and the author is to be commended for his attention to detail (as to factual info. , photography) I highly recommend this work to ANYONE contemplating the purchase of any Waffen-ss materials! BRAVO! BILL SHEPPARD, COLLECTOR & MILITARY ENTHUSIAST. DON"T PASS THIS ONE UP FELLOWS!!!

Very good COLOR reference book. I use it for painting models accurately. Krawczyk's other reference books regarding German WW2 uniforms are equally excellent. Shop around for this and his other books because they are for sale in various places for an extremely wide wide variety of prices- anywhere from $30 to $200 dollars!

It has pic's and words and is very good to read about for a colltor/hobbies/interests in WW2.

Good uniform study.

I have Wade's outstanding reference on German Army Uniforms, and they both provide the same insightful level of detail enthusiasts are looking for that makes these books essential references. Very nice layout, highly recommended.

On the plus side, this book has some good information on uniforms and it's filled with very well done color photographs of caps, helmets, tunics, trousers, smocks, parkas, cloth insignia, medals, and cap devices. On the minus side, the book is only 128 pages long and most of each page is taken up by large photographs showing more detail than necessary. The book does a cursory job of showing SS uniform variations that developed between 1939 and 1945. It's like some hard-core collectors decided to show off parts of their collections in a vanity book. All variations and patterns are just not shown. If you are a WWII buff or a beginning Waffen SS reenactor buying this book expecting to learn everything there is to know about SS uniforms, insignia, coats, smocks, helmets, boots, camouflage patterns, and gear, then you will be somewhat disappointed. I would expect to pay no more than $10 for this book from the bargain book table at a retail book store chain.

To be concise, as with the other books in this series, this one is simply outstanding. Great color photos, excellent layout, well-written text. You can't go wrong with this one, buy it while you can still get the high quality hardcover version. No regrets here.

Great source of information. Both in text and pictures. Will help any collector or history buff.

Good clear photos, succinct text. Worth buying for the photos of camouflage equipment alone (for model makers!). Worth adding as an adjunct to any reference material you may already own

I pezzi fotografati sono tutti in buone od ottime condizioni, vi si trovano anche articoli rari e poco conosciuti. molte le uniformi appartenenti a volontari stranieri, diversi gli articoli provenienti da musei russi come precisato nelle didascalie. peccato sia in inglese ma con un po di pazienza risulta comprensibile

These books are first class. This is the third of the series that I have purchased and have no hesitation in 100% recommendation. Would buy agin without hesitation.
