Gopher X Pest Control and Extermination - Burrowing Rodent Exterminator

Do not do business with these people! They do not stand behind their products!After calling GopherX and discussing my needs with them I bought 12 ft of supposedly heat proof exhaust hose from them at $14.16 per foot = $170.00. This is the exact same exhaust hose they put on their GopherX machines. The first time I used it, after about 10 minutes of running the engine the hose completely melted off and was useless. I called the GopherX Company (doing business as Quality Manufacturing) and they said there was not anything they could do about it. Thanks GopherX, you just screwed me out of $170.00! The machine was hard to get started the first time due to no fuel pump connected to the gas line to pump fuel into the carb. After my arm fell off it started and has on the first pull since. I HAD a major gopher problem in Arizona resulting from the massive construction going on in the area as the gophers have been forced out of their homes and have taken residence in my neighborhood. They came in through the entry way (hoa common area) and then jumped from yard to yard eating every ornamental plant they could find. My yard is a smorgasbord for them with every palm and citrus imaginable planted. I have topiaries and they were dying after 12 years of hard sculpting work. They tunneled under my driveway causing an air pocket under it and then a crack. They killed every plant in my neighbor's yard, tunneled under the home's foundation and ate the barrel cactus from the inside killing them. Everyday I'd find huge mounds of dirt all over my front yard and neighbor's yard. In the common area where they are entering there were large sink holes due to the extensive gopher tunnels. After talking to the hoa property management they said they were treating the gophers and for years. So I knew I had to spend the money and correct the problem myself. Calling someone out to do it is very expensive and they only come for 1 month treatment. $350 for 100sq. feet. So I bought this machine and started treating. After 3 days of treatments I would say the problem is under control. It will not eradicate them completely in a week. Getting control of them alone will take daily treatments of every fresh mounds you see.. I went from seeing about 50 large mounds a day on aprox 1/2 acre to about 1-2. Persistence is key. When it comes to gophers NO solution works alone. Mixing treatment types is KEY to success and PERSISTENCE. There is one repellent that seems to work. Human urine! We've been urination the perimeter of the property fence and that has kept them out for months. That's in my back yard of course where I have a lush tropical garden going with lots of food for gophers. Smoke bombs don't work due to no air power to push the gas through the runs. WASTE OF MONEY. Poisons works sporadically. If that gopher smells just a small amount of your sent they won't eat the bait. Trapping seems to have the same issue. The soil is hard so the gopher hawk didn't work. That went in the trash. That device would work well in the mid west or north west NOT out west. If you value your real estate investment don't let the gopher problem go. They can do extensive damage to your property's foundation, sidewalks, driveways, plumbing, electrical lines and even your pool. I even heard them chewing on the bathtub drainpipe one night. That's when I knew I must spend the bucks and fight this problem. I let it go too long. So I recommend this machine HIGHLY even though it's not the total answer but it is the BEST way to CONTROL the gophers. It's designed well as the job of extermination only takes a few minutes. 3 to 5 depending on the length of the runs. I have 30 ft. runs under my property as the smoke from the machine identified them. 2000 dollars is much cheaper than a foundation or pool repair. Don't let it go is my advice. Wish I would of just bought one of these to start with as I would of saved about $500 from being wasted on all those cheaper solutions that have a limited or no success rate.

I own 20 acres of horse property. Last year the the gophers and other rodents went wild!I spent probably $400 on every trap, repellent, poison, smoke bombs, ground bussing devicesand anything else that I could get from the local hardware store or over the internet. The best Idid was catch a paw. Which I counted as a win for me. Nothing else worked!This year I went to the local home show looking for advise and an exterminator. I found both.I had the exterminator give me an estimate to get ride of the gophers and other rodents. He explainedthe process he used and how and why it worked. I told him to give me a good bid so that I would beinterested in contracting for his services. Well, when his email said a one time application would cost $1500with a 30 day guarantee or a yearly contract for $3200 I just about fell off my chair.So I started researching his technique on the internet and found the Gopher X Pest Control and Exterminationmachine. It sounded identical to his process. So I bit and spent $1600 for it along with a gallon of Castor Oil mix.I have used the machine 5 days in a row now. Each day I have less and less gopher mounds and hopfully less gophers.My wife and daughter are thrilled that the horses will not step into a gopher hole! I am thrill I have no more gopher moundsin my yard! It maybe a little early to tell but I think this Gopher X machine will do the job! I would recommend it but you betterhave alot of gopher/rodent problems to justify the cost. Caution if you have a mole problem this may not work. Apparently theyhold their breathe.

Horrible product. Stay very far away. Does not do as advertised and the customer support is worse than going to the DMV. Try and receive a refund from these scam artist is like getting your teeth pulled at the dentist. I used this product on my 40 acres and I still have a varmint problem. The construction of the product feels very cheap for what the cost is.

This is the BEST rodent control I have used. I worked in the golf course maintenance industry for 20 years and this is the best and most effective device I have used. I work at a local university as the turf specialist. When I first started, I had a terrible gopher problem. Gopher X is a amazing when used properly. I would find it hard to believe this would not work for somebody. This is not a one time use thing. New gophers will use old runs, so you need to keep on it. It will control gopher problems not eliminate them. If you have gopher problems buy one you won't be disappointed.

If you are looking for a expensive smoke machine this will work. As for killing rodents........Nope.
