The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop

I ordered this book for my 8 year old daughter, who fell in love with it almost instantly. She recommended I read it after her, and I, too, fell in love.The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop is a wonderful story that immediately entrances the reader. I couldn't put the book down, and then was sad when I finished it. My daughter has read it several times already, and we've only had it for 5 days. Young or old, anyone who enjoys a bit of magic would enjoy this book.

The Whizz Pop Chocolate Shop (afffectionately called "Whizz Pop") by my students, is a wonderful, fun story for children. I teach students with learning disabilities and it is difficult to get them to read, much less be acutally excited about books. I comb the internet, books of the year, Caldecott, Yearling, blogs to find engaging books for my students. This is one that they beg to take home every night to read the next chapter. My students with dyslexia are very connected to Lily and I am excited for them to discover how her disability makes her magically special and a heroine.

The story is wonderfully written and as my children are dual citizens (having been born in England) it is a wonderful way for my granddaughters to get a glimpse of a novel set in London. We took a trip together in Summer of 2012 to England so they are able to visualize what is being described in this lovely novel. We are having fun with this book. It arrived very timely and perfectly shipped so there is no damage to the book.I'm very happy with Amazon. (As always). Thank you!

I read this with my 4th grade daughter and we really enjoyed the book. We laughed out loud in many areas but especially over the cat who is quite a character. Some of the storyline was a bit advanced and a little bit scary but the book was so enjoyable that it didn't impact or ability to get through the book. There was the word "damn-it", which I didn't think was a necessary addition although I know my daughter hears much worse at school. I simply skipped the word and went on.Very fun story and a worthwhile read.

I gave this book, as a gift, to my grandson who is 11 years old. He loves that it has no pictures and he can use his imagination to get in the story. He promises to talk to me about the book after he's finished reading. He's asked for more books like this one. Excellent!

Loved the story line, fun charters, well written story, great for all ages to enjoy must read again in the future.

Not the greatest book. I might not read the second book. Maybe. This to me is meant for kids maybe 7-10.

clever story and made for great listening in the car with the kids. bonus, if you are an American you can listen to nice British accent of the reader and teach your kids some British words like "queue"

Eine wirklich lustige geshcichte von drei Brüdern und Ihren zaubergeheimnissen. Having become exhausted of reading the increasingly predictable adventures of the Famous Five and (for me) the increasingly tedious tales of Harry Potter (I'm sorry, but I really can't warm to him) I insisted that we read this book at bedtime as it looked a bit different and I liked the sound of it. The urchin was not happy about this as she wanted more of the usual stuff, but after the first reading session she was hooked and she absolutely loved it. So much so, getting her to go to bed was particularly easy as she knew she'd be getting more of the book and by near the end she was asking to go to bed a bit earlier so that we had more reading time. For me that meant more time to myself later on, but the best thing was it also got her to read more for herself than most books do. Oh, and I enjoyed the story too so a winner all round. We've subsequently let others borrow the book and everyone else seems to love it too.

The book arrived very promptly.My 7yo could not wait (she picked it with me a few days ago).We got home around 5pm to find the book already delivered. My daughter went through most of it in the evening, woke up at 7am and didn’t stop until she finished at 11:00.She just couldn’t stop reading. She inhaled it in two goes basically and the book is over 200pages. She kept saying how amazing this book is. She said it’s the best book she has ever read!!!
