Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King (Xbox One)

My daughter is 6 and loves both of these disney films. Growing up I never had a NES so couldn't play these games unless I was at friend's houses. Lots of nostalgic vibes.Initially when the game loads on the Ps4 it looks small in the screen, much like the original resolution of CRT TVs. If you press the touch pad button on the Ps4 controller, a totally different option menu appears. It gives you the option to save the game, change the view and make it full screen and to also adapt the controls (We have changed X to mean jump in Aladdin because it is just how most PS games are so makes gameplay a little easier).For those who are saying that their kids are getting frustrated because it restarts, there is a cheat button. Press and hold L1 and you can rewind your play if you miss a jump or die.Keep in mind that these games were originally very hard, so you wouldn't be able to play and finish them in an hour. My 6 year old has at of fun playing this. For anyone who thinks you have to complete Aladdin before playing The Lion King, that is not true. On the very first screen once you've pressed any key to play, press the right direction button and you can play The Lion King.Unfortunately there are no instructions with this game, so I can see why it's confusing for the player and wanted to share my findings!Otherwise the game is lots of fun to play and actually its great value having both games on the one disc.

Great game, you have to scroll right to find the purchased game otherwise it asks you to buy a new version if you are not careful.Its amazing!

Perfect gift for my young niece

just a port but works great, you can play in 4:3 like when they were released with bars or you can stretch it to fit the screen which changes the way it looks.these are great games and still hold up even to today but it would be so much better if they had the port versions but also had an updated remasters so they looked better.would recomend it though since these are such good games.

Great for scratching that nostalgia itch, and the 'rewind' feature is a great addition for the kids (these games are JUST as hard as you remember, if not harder!). My main complaint is that, while yes, I purchased knowing that this was not a fullscreen remaster, the game screen is scaled down to a *tiny* box, utilising around 35% of the total screen space.

Ahhhh the memories! Aladdin was one of my favourite games on the MegaDrive, back in the 90's, so when I saw this I knew I had to buy it and I'm glad I did. It has some pretty nice features like the galleries and music player, the main thing I enjoyed was the rewind feature so I could redo some of the harder jumps (aww come on, surely I'm allowed to cheat a little after completing it multiple times back in the day 😉!) .One thing that would have been nice was if the movies were included with the games! The Switch cartridges have got plenty of space and it would have made a great classic game package even better but I'm happy as it is ♡

A classic reimagined! This game takes me back to my childhood with both editions being extremely faithful to the originals.With that said the games can both be quite hard in areas however with the addition of the level skip/selection feature it doesn’t become stagnant at all.Bonus features such as the soundtrack mode and slicking between old school handheld graphics and that of the SNES keeps this fresh and great fun to play and got nostalgic over.

Does what it's supposed to do. Fast delivery. Good packaging. 6 year old granddaughter had no problems using it and loves the game!
