I dislike my upper arms, so for years, I've bought many different cardigans and shrugs looking for the perfect coverage, and the hardest thing to find is something that looks good over a dress without completely hiding the waistline and destroying the look of the dress - while still covering the whole upper arm without being too tight. This is that shrug!It is short enough and fits tight enough that it doesn't hide any of the dress you wear it with. The lace detail in the back helps make it fancy enough to go with a dress. And the material is a good quality, it doesn't feel cheap (and I would hope not, since you are paying a good price). It can easily be worn with cocktail and casual dresses... for a fancy evening dress, you'd need something other than cotton. I don't see the point in wearing it to provide any type of chest coverage (which would also hide the dress underneath), so I let it hang at the sides and it is the perfect amount of material to look good without becoming too much, or without sliding off. It is absolutely fantastic, and I have already ordered both colors, and would probably get an additional color or two if there were any. Look for me to post a photo in the black one in customer images!Also note, the ivory is not pure ivory, it is a little darker and has a few flecks in the pattern. Doesn't look bad or too noticeable, just not 100% solid. And as others have noted, the sizing runs very small. I normally wear a large shirt, 38D bra. I bought the 2X and have no complaints about the size.

This cropped cardigan/wrap is just about what I was looking for. It's a very lightweight knit fabric (think thin T-shirt material). The lace on the back is nice and will allow air flow so you don't get too hot. I followed some suggestions to buy a size up. I wear a size 18/20 (or 2x) and the arms fit fine (I have larger upper arms) but it doesn't wrap around the front very well. I wish it was still a bit larger to cover part of my chest. The front doesn't really go past the sides of my chest and I'm not really a busty gal. It is not quite as flattering as I had hoped, but I will keep it as it will servebits main purpose of covering my arms and shoulders

I really love this shrug. It is the perfect addition to any outfit whether you are dressing up or dressing down. I like my clothes a bit loose and typically purchase a 2x in most brands (Sonoma from Kohls, Old Navy, etc.). I sized up (3x) in this and it fits great, not to tight around my arms but it still has shape. I just bought an additional color. I'm curious to see how it holds up in the wash, I hope to have it for a long time, it's so pretty and comfortable.

I love this shrug. Bought the 2x and the 3x to compare and they fit EXACTLY the same. The only difference was the tag inside. 5'9"/160/36DD and it fits, but covers no chest (not even partly). The lace/crochet pattern is really pretty and if it was offered in more colors, I would purchase again. If you have really big arms, it might be too small. Please offer in more colors.

I'm a true 3xl when I shop at Torrid so I took a chance on this shrug.. I bought the 3xl it covers my arms.. It does not cover my chest but I really only need it to cover myvtank tops at work.. Its nice material and I love the design on the back .. Its not too bad!

I had 2 days to find something cute that fit and didn't make it look like I was trying to dress like an 18 year-old. This is a nice, fairly plain shrug that worked perfectly. I did order it a size too large thanks to the previous reviews and I'm glad I did, as it ran a bit small. The tag was easy to remove without damaging the shrug and I received quite a few compliments on it as well. It was a bit on the pricey side, but I have a feeling it'll end up being a staple in my closet so I feel it was money well spent.

I really like this Bolero, I kept getting mixed reviews saying that the 1x & 2x are either to small or too big. I ended up getting the 2x and I could have gone with a 1x because it's just a tad too big, but I'll still use it. it's really cute and will go with my red dress very well.

Beautiful and I will be buying two more colors! I have large breasts so the front does not go over them but I just wanted a shrug to cover my arms that was pretty to wear. It is perfect! I wear a size 18 jean so I followed the size chart and it fits perfectly. I have 42DD breasts so my tops are modest anyways, I just needed a cool shrug for my large arms to be covered in sleeveless clothing.
