Excellent product and relatively easy for a backyard mechanic...
I have a 2009 VW Routan with 70K miles and the front hubs were replaced under a recall. The rear hubs are NOT under a recall for this particular year and that's how I ended up here...In my opinion, these Timken hubs appear better than OEM. I was extremely pleased with everything about them and they are complete right out of the box - no need to purchase any other parts to do the install. The dealer wanted $150 per hub plus installation, so it would have cost me close to $500 to have both rear hubs replaced. The idea of replacing the rear hubs on your vehicle sounds daunting, but fear not. If you have a jack, metric sockets and the ability to turn a wrench, you can do this in your driveway (having previous experience with removing/replacing brakes is a plus). I'm not a mechanic, but I'm not afraid to take something apart in order to fix it myself. The process was pretty straightforward - remove the tire, remove the brake caliper, remove the brake disc, unplug the ABS (remove heat shield under vehicle for right side only), cut old "push in" style clips holding old ABS wire (new hub ABS wire has new push in clips already installed), unbolt hub... Went back on in reverse order. Some things I would recommend if you're thinking about trying this:- Give yourself at least 1-2 hours to replace your first hub (after the first one the other side is easier).- Use a floor jack and jack stands - I would NOT recommend using the van's little scissor jack.- Memorize the ABS wire routing before you remove the old hub.- Don't force any bolts, use a "break free" lubricant - use a "no bounce" or small sledge on the old hub if needed.- Most newer rear brake calipers require a special tool to recompress the cylinder (I borrowed the tool set from a local parts store).- Make sure you clean your brake discs before remounting the tire.- If you get to a point where you start to doubt yourself, put it back together and find a local mechanic to install them for you - it's still going to be cheaper than the dealer.Like I said, I was extremely pleased with the quality of these hubs, the installation was relatively easy and I saved hundreds replacing them myself.

they are now going bad already! Don't buy them
I bought them and installed on Dec of 2015, they are now going bad already!Don't buy them!I replaced with another cheap one. To my surprise, when I took it off, I found the inside (back) is not covered at all! They were rusted like hell. The original from manufacturer were covered. The cheap ones I bought are covered. These are crap, even they give you for free, it's a waste of money to install it and have it rusted out in a short period of time.Again, don't buy them!

great product for a 2008 town & country
Not a fan of aftermarket parts, but with the name Timken on the box I had no reservations about installing this bearing. Half the price of a factory part that is backordered with no release date. Easy install and product works as designed. Would and will be buying another one for the other side when that day comes

Great replacement part
Fit perfectly on my 2008 Town and Country and works great so far. Installation was a bear, but that isn't the fault of the part.
