reasonable price that makes the job easy and will save lots of time
works great and makes the job easy. I tried many ways to do the job without this tool and with alot of work and patience you can do it BUT this tool makes it fast and easy and easily worth the reasonable price

VERY HELPFUL TOOL
This tool really helped with e-brake cable release when I changed rear caliper. Made the job much easier and very reasonably priced. Very well made and can handle using a hammer to tap it down onto the lock tabs. I have many Lisle specialty tools and they are always quality and very helpful.

Well made tool but didn't work for my application.
I bought to use on Dexter 6k pound trailer drum brake assembly with the parking brake cable option. This tool didn't work for that application due to the parking brake attachment bracket on the assembly having a flanged rim, which makes it impossible to slide the tool in to compress the latching clips. I ended up using screw drivers and picks to compress them and detach the cable mount.

effective for what it is...
obviously higher dollar tools would be much more precise or designed but this one is an ok, cheaper alternative...took some finagling to make it work since the holes for the cable retainer are a bit too big to crimp the prongs very tight...it worked in a pinch with the help of some pliers

Despite what some reviews said, this is a decently heavy piece of metal. Unfortunately, the diameter of the two openings is too small for my 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander I bought it for. I have doubt though that it would have worked otherwise.
