eHemco Kitchen Island Cart on Wheels with Drawer, Storage Cabinet, Shelf and Natural Bamboo Top Butcher Block, White Base

It's been a couple weeks since I bought this kitchen island, and so far, I'm still loving it. The instructions to construct it was easy to follow and the process wasn't difficult at all. I was able to build it by myself until my husband came home from work, and helped hold the cupboard doors while I screwed in the nails. The drawer slides fairly smooth and the cupboard doors close tightly and fit well. There was a minor dink in one of the metal rods (however my towels and oven mitts hide it), but aside from that, everything else arrived unscathed. My other minor complaint is that the turning wheels' locks are quite stubborn and don't lock as easily as I would like.I bought this island because my tiny apartment lacks kitchen counter space and storage, so this works perfect for me. It holds kitchen appliances and allows me to cut and prepare food at a perfect height for me (I'm 5'1").

Reason for the purchase, I wanted a good coffee cart with some extra storage options.I read quite a few of the reviews and was almost was scared away from this item. I am very happy that I was not.When this arrived the box was in good condition. As I opened this up to check to see if all the pieces were present I noticed that this was packed very well.There is Small note:One of the sides that had some construction issues. My guess is when they put it together a piece got jammed and looked forced.This was not my first rodeo so I waited till after I put it it together to see what it looks like. It turned out to be a very minor cosmetic issue on the lower end of the side. These things do happen if you buy furniture kits. I'm sure I could have contacted the Dealer but it really wasn't an issue.I followed the direction. This sounds simple but this is where you need to slow things down and don't guess what parts go where.The directions were very accurate and the item went together the way it should have.This item could have been put together by one person but two will definitely make it easier.This item is sharp and I have no regrets from this purchase. I now have a extra drawer for my silverware as well a place to hang pans that get regularly used. Throw in I can hang towels on the sides using the bars and it's a big win for what I wanted.Here is my opinion on the 3/4 in bamboo cutting surface and it is pure opinion.IMOA cutting board should either be around 3/4 in thick if it is plastic and 2 inches min if it is wooden/bamboo.Cutting boards are regularly washed and sanitized so the 3/4 inch would warp at some point. I love the look and it was one of the reason I purchased this but it's not really meant for cutting.

I was very hesitant about purchasing this item due to some of the early reviews. As a female, I was able to put this together myself. Instructions were not difficult and all the parts were included. I was a little concerned when the box had a torn edge, but it was packed well and nothing inside was damaged. I will admit it does smell of chemical but I wiped it down good with Lysol cleaner and the smell is disappearing. Sorry but those who have a more sensitive nose may have more of an issue, I hardly notice it after two days. I use it to hold my microwave and for a little storage. Working perfect and I am happy with the purchase.

Owned this two hears. Overall i still like it and the bamboo top, after i fixed it twice. We are not heavy users of stuff, this basically held a microwave, some dishes, and rice. About a yrar in the unit just started seperating. Punching it back in shaoe would only last a week. I finally took out my vices and glued everything together. Note this means its a solid glued unit now. Everything was again fine until last month when the drawer literally fell off. It turns out the drawer slides are only glued on with a thin stream of glue and plain fell off/separated from the body of the unit. So once again i took my vices out and glued and screwed the one that fell off, and screwed the one that had not yet seperated. Still like it, but if you want something that stays together without additional glue, screws, or vices, look elsewhere.

Very frustrating and cheaply made piece of furniture. I recently moved and need storage and have been ordering a lot on amazon. I have assembled multiple pieces of furniture on my own and haven’t had any issues until this. The instructions are terrible and unclear, it took me about 3 hours to finish. It also had a piece come off that’s supposed to support the top wood and drawer. Once I stood the cabinet up, the screws didn’t support it and ripped through the “wood”. I contacted the seller and they sent me new parts and I put myself through another agonizing several hours and nothing sucurely sticks. It’s frustrating and heart wrenching to see my money get flushed down the toilet with this. Save your money and invest in something better.

First I'll say the final product seems to be a good, sturdy solution for creating more counter space in my cramped apartment.But the reason I give it only 3 stars is because there was clearly a problem with the instructions, or we received the wrong items. The magnet that keeps the front two doors closed was attached to the board that goes on the BACK of the cart. I had to unscrew the magnet and screw new holes for the magnet to fit in the correct location in the front to keep the doors closed.Also, the handles come with screws in the package, but for one of the handles these screws were not long enough to attach through the top shelf. I had to go out and buy new screws for it to fit.So if you don't mind doing some work above and beyond what comes in the package, I'd say this is a good buy. But if you want a quality product with all the right parts, you'd probably be better off with something else.
