This book is a condensed version of Dr. Tennant's online information.
Unfortunately, I returned mine....🤷♀️Great book just no new information, which is what I was hoping to find. You can get all the information that has been condensed into this book, along with much, much more detailed information on Dr. Forest Tennant’s websites, for free. He has so much more detailed information that he has released, to be printed out. This book is however, an excellent way to educate people who don't have the time or literal energy (AA is exhausting) to go through pages and pages of his information and research online. Unfortunately, I have this horrible spine disorder myself and so, I have already printed out a huge binder full of information that Dr. Tennant has shared via his websites. Not only does this amazing doctor research Arachnoiditis, he will even diagnose your MRI’S and Myelograms sent in to him by people, for free. Or, if you can afford it, he does accept donations to his Arachnoiditis Research Foundation. But, the donation isn't required for him to give a diagnosis from your diagnostic scans. Recently, retired. Dr. Forest Tennant continues to do his research and has been a pioneering doctor in Arachnoiditis. Please, research Dr. Forest Tennant on the internet to find his contact information. He also has content on YouTube. Even though, I ended up returning my book, I still highly recommend it to anyone seeking information and help regarding this very serious, incurable, progressive, spinal disorder that causes intractable, debilitating pain that is also listed with NORD (National Organization of Rare Disorders), called Adhesive Arachnoiditis.Sincerely,Michelle

Arachnoiditis is this
I have had AA for ten years and this book helped me understand some things I didn’t know. It is a great book for understanding where the disease comes from and how to deal with it now.

Great Adhesive Arachnoiditis Book!
I'm a huge fan of Dr Tennant and grateful for his advocacy on behalf of patients with severe chronic pain disorders. His articles, essays and advice through Practical Pain Management and multiple websites are a testament to his dedication, and are a wealth of information for both providers, patients and their loved ones. This book is a thorough overview of adhesive arachnoiditis; from medical history in the mid 1800s to our era, causes, symptoms and contributing factors. Dr Tennant is a pioneer; he developed new insights into possible treatment with a focus on neuroinflammation supression, promotion of neuroregeneration and pain control (with a possible positive effect of neurohormone balance). Dr Tennant also makes it clear this is a first generation effort, and that patients with adhesive arachnoiditis deserve, and need, more research. I missed a recommendation of acetazolamide, but that's easy to find on-line.Where it could have improved is the formatting; Kindle Create usually provides a clickable Table of Contents and footnotes. This book doesn't provide either, having clickable footnotes with a link to the resources quoted is essential.Lastly, this is a much needed resource for patients, providers, friends and loved ones who care for someone with this dreaded disease. National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) equals lumbosacral adhesive arachnoiditis pain to that of suffering terminal cancer.Or, as an orthopedic surgeon said in 'Crooked', Cathryn Ramin Jacobson's excellent book: "adhesive arachnoiditis is like having a hot rod shoved up your bum."
