Zip Ties Fix Height Issues
I have multiple sprinklers that are higher than the 14" - I thought I'd use those green wider garden stakes you get at Lowes - pounded in a couple 3 footers and zip tied these to them behind the sprinkler head - and that worked. But then I realized I could just zip tie the entire thing to the sprinkler head and it's even better. The top of this rotates forward or backward - giving you flexibility to zip tie it (have appropriate lengths) and tilt it back a bit - works well and doesn't get in the way of the head at all popping up. Highly recommend.

Bigger than you expect, good quality
Quality product, did not work well for my space. But that was my fault. Although I ended up not being able to use mine, I highly recommend.

Not strong enough to stay in place
It can’t be tightened enough for a main yard sprinkler, the sprinkler can push the shield out of position making it ineffective.

But I tried it and it would/did work very good at deflecting the water when used as intended
This would work very well with an elevated sprinkler head and one that is backed up against a wall or other border spraying out. Where I needed it, was just the opposites. Not telescoping nor spraying out away from the fence. It did not work for what I needed. But I tried it and it would/did work very good at deflecting the water when used as intended.
