Shampoodle (Step into Reading)

Cute book !

Very good book for both girls and boys that like dogs. The story is interesting, cute, funny, and memorable. I am a librarian but somehow hadn’t read this particular book until today. The vocabulary was a little bit above level 2, and requires some help from a parent. The story and illustrations our outstanding. My granddaughter loves this book.

a good book for 1st graders. It is on my grandson's lever, and it taught him some new words, which I think is the goal of reading for a young child.

I like the variety of vocabulary used and how it's a true rhyming book (no ridiculous stretches to try to pass off almost-rhymes as legit!). Although this can be explained as a form of poetry, I don't like the abundance of sentence fragments; the target audience for this book is still learning about proper sentence structure, and this isn't a good model for that. There is value, however, in using this book for a lesson on inference and context clues. The kids laughed and seemed engaged for the entire story, which is a "win" in my book.

I groom dogs for a living, and I bought this book for my 1st grader to read. We both love it! It is fun, funny, and helps with reading comprehension. This is the first book I've seen for children about dog grooming and it really made my day to be able to discuss my profession with my son in such a fun way. The illustrations are darling as well!

My kids loves the ending it was a total twist. Highly recommend, the book is so much fun to read.

Pra mim a leitura é bem enrolada, palavras mto difíceis e a história não é tão interessante. Para iniciantes não recomendo.

Fun and very cute. Perfect for a quick nighttime story after a loooong day. Fun pictures that easily engaged my 3 yo girl.

Lovely fun book, great for my littles. Now off to choose the next book to read. More like this please.
