Fabulous Pot
I bought a vegetarian tagine cookbook by Ghillie Basan that has recipes to die for. Omg, try Bean tagine with harissa and coriander. Have it with fresh bread. Die happy.Anyway, I bought this tagine mostly because of the reviews. I didn't know what kind of tagine to buy - even though you can make a tagine in a Dutch oven - and so I did a lot of scrolling before plunking down my credit card. I really didn't know if the conical lid would make that much of a difference.I think it might. Everything cooks to perfection. The pot seems to self baste and every tagine I make takes only about 40 minutes or so to cook. 40 minute means I put it in the tagine pot and essentially walk away.Also the pot is super easy to clean and it's beautiful to look at on the stove. You do have to season it before use, but it's no trouble at all.

High quality and wonderfully versatile
Emile Henry is that the top of the list for excellent cooking vessels. This Tagine does great in the oven, excels on the stove top without a diffuser. It is flameproof. Cleans like a dream, and the shape is so appealing, almost like artwork, that I keep it out on my stove top.

FANTASTIC!!
Absolutely fantastic! Nice heavy weight, beautiful finish, and you don’t have to season it before cooking! Creates gorgeous food. We now have tagine once a week! Have had success with chicken, lamb and fish with recipes online. Remember to also buy the heat diffuser for success. Highly recommend.

I have three things to say! Omg! I made ghillie basin spicy chicken tangine with apricots, rosemary and honey from her cookbook "tangines and couscous " and I am sooooooo glad I bought this tangine! Very very happy with its performance and on my commercial gas stove without a diffuser! Highly and I do mean highly recommend it! Paula wolfert quote" if you were going to embark on a Chinese food adventure would you not buy a wok? The same goes here for the tangine!

I cook my favorite tagines in it. I heat up leftovers in it. I use it as a serving dish. It stays in use. If you love slow cooking, this is great.

Macht Spaß damit zu kochen!
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Tajine!Es macht Spaß neue „Kochvatianten“ auszuprobieren...und bisher kam immer was Leckeres dabei raus.Die Qualität des Tajine Topf lässt bis her nichts zu wünschen übrig. Alles wie in der Beschreibung...lässt sich leicht reinigen, Spühlmaschine ist auch kein Problem. Speichert wahnsinnig lang die Hitze, ich denke man kann sich noch warmes Essen aus der Tajine nehmen, nachdem man sie 1,5 Std vom Herd genommen hat.Ob es einen Unterschied zum „neueren“ Model gibt, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Ich hatte mich für die ältere, etwas günstigere Version entschieden und wüsste nicht warum ich dies bereuen sollte.Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Respecto a que se escapa el vapor, yo cocino con el a fuego vivo sin la tapa, yv luego tapo y bajo al mínimo para los cocción larga, y no se escapa vapor. Sólo me ha pasado si le he dado más fuego estando tapado, pues sube los presión interior. Creo que el funcionamiento es el normal. Los resultados son buenos. También he cocinado en el ternera guisada y merluza en salsa verde como si fuera una tarjeta bien mal. El acabado es de calidad y tiene presencia. Me vino con un defecto de esmalte y me la cambiaron
