Edelweiss Creek Long 3-Pcs Black & Pink German Embroidered Oktoberfest Dirndl Dress

Size up fit great, very nice!
I used the size charts and ordered a blue dirndl according to my measurements. When it came, it was far too tight at my waist and bust. Plus, the piping was a purple blue, the apron a cornflower blue, and the embroidery and ribbons more of a royal blue. Four shades of blue in all, it really bothered me! But the workmanship was nice and the price wasn't bad for a 3-piece set, so I returned it and ordered a pink dirndl up a size. It fits great, and all the shades of pink are the same. I'm in an Octoberfest brass band, so this dress will get a lot of use in the next few weeks!

I fit right in!
Very cute! Wore it in Munich during Oktoberfest and fit right in. Very well made, but chest measurements for the white blouse were a little off so it was tighter than I would have liked, but the rest of the dress was loose, but easily adjusted with the front ties. The embroidery was very cute and added to the overall look. It was a little pricy for a one time use outfit, so I guess I'll have to go to Oktoberfest in Germany again!

Nice Costume, True to Size
I wanted this for a Halloween Costume. Because the Halloween Party is on the 10th, I don't have as much time to find the right fit when buying mail order. I went to Halloween stores and I tried on two similar costumes by different Halloween costume companies that theoretically were sizes 18 and 22. Both were so small I couldn't even wear them (I am size 16 dress, 40 DD bra.) I bought another one on Amazon and got the largest size (which was 22) and it wasn't even close to fitting me. So basically, by the time I ordered THIS dress (size 22) I was in a panic and it was one of three additional Dirndl costumes all of which I bought in sizes much bigger than I normally wear. Edelweiss actually seems to have an accurate size chart (big thumbs up for that!), but of course it is huge on me so I have to send it back. It is a lovely costume. The floral embroidery is very cute. The hardware seems a little cheap, but is fine. I would definitely buy from Edelweiss again.

Fit was wacky.
This is the second dirndl I bought and the fit was too big for me. I ordered a 44. With a 32" waist, I thought that would be the deciding factor for what size I got. The waists on these dresses sit much higher than I am used to. I bought this one because of free returns. Instead I am going to keep the dirndl I bought on dirndl.com (ships from germany but made in turkey?). I think that one is better quality, fabric is heavier. However, for $100, don't expect great quality on any of them. Authentic, nice ones are more like $300+.

Good fir and very nice
Fit very well, I usually wear a us 22, however the elastic on the arms was a bit to tight but easily fixable and having longer apron ribbons to the a pretty bow would be nice. It was also a bit longer than expected. The dress is of a good quality an the embroidery is very pretty. The material isn’t cheap printed fabric, it seems durable but wasn’t to heavy for a warm day. A pocket in the apron or dress would be a nice addition.

Beautiful dress. Worth the money.
Bought this for an Oktoberfest party, and when I put it on and showed my hubby, he proposed again! I looked like a beautiful Bavarian goatherd, like a grown-woman version of Heidi. I mean, I’m sure Heidi grows up into a woman at some point, right? Ive never read the sequels. Wouldn’t that be great to see what happens to her after her beloved grandfather dies and leaves her the little Swiss cabin? Does she continue on raising goats? Does she marry Peter and have a bunch of kids? Does she send any of the kids off to live with some old grumpy grandfather? Does she ever learn to cook? Or does she continue eating nothing but cheese and crusty bread? Does Peter sleep in the little barn haystack too? (My God, is that safe?!) (And why did he push Clara’s wheelchair down the mountain? I mean, thank God he did, because he was a huge catalyst for change in a seemingly stagnant world of paralyzation and want, but still.)

This dress is very pretty. It is not well made like a real drindl, but it is inexpensive so you get what you pay for. Because of other reviews, I ordered 2 sizes up - it was too big. One size up would probably fit. Also, the 3 piece set is supposed to have the dress, apron, and blouse. I received the dress, a pink apron and a black apron. What? When I return the dress I will add a note that the set is messed up and not to restock it as packaged. If you are not concerned with quality and just want and inexpensive dress, this one is very pretty - the embroidery and apron are really vibrant against the black background.

Dress sizes are inaccurate.
We ordered size 4 based on size measurements given. It was too small so ordered size 8 just to be safe and it was even smaller than the size 4!!!The dress doesn’t have the size on it. No way for anyone to know what size of dress they are sending. So bummed

Super small
The dirndl is beautiful and the polyester fabric would be good for travelling but too bad it runs so small. I ordered the size 8 which the chart shows is a 37-38 inch bust and a 30-31 inch waist. At the widest bust point on the actual garment, you can see that it is under 30inches and the waist is only 24 inches. Even with the laces totally open, this dress is way smaller than advertised. A shame.

Pretty but lacks in fabric quality.
The blouse is 100% cotton. My blouse did have a arm pit smell. The apron will bleed and is very thin material. Be very careful ironing the dress. Iron inside out and do not let the iron touch the pockets inside as it will melt on your iron.Other then the blouse the fabric on the dress and the apron is very, very thin but pretty at the same time.I am not impressed thus far.
