Easy to install with nice bright lights
I was impressed with how easy this hood range was to install, making the setup process hassle-free. One of the standout features for me is the bright lighting—it really illuminates the cooking area well. The manual buttons are another plus, as I prefer their reliability over touch controls. While the hood offers three fan speeds, I was hoping for a bit more airflow based on the specs. It’s not bad by any means, just not as powerful as I expected. The noise level is comparable to my previous 20-year-old hood, so no major surprises there. In terms of maintenance, I found that my usual stainless steel cleaner didn’t work as well since this unit isn’t “fingerprint-proof.” However, an industrial polish did the trick, leaving it with a great shine.Overall, this is a solid hood range with great lighting, easy installation, and a classic button interface. If the airflow were a little stronger, it’d be nearly perfect!

Cooking with class
This stove vent is awesome. There are different speeds for the fan and the light is very bright. It's heavy duty and easy to install. The fan is quieter than others I've had and looks beautiful with our other stainless steel appliances. Definitely worth the purchase.

Works well just a bit noisy
I purchased this to use as a ventless range hood. You will need to purchase carbon filters separately to use it as such. I’ve never installed a rand hood before and had no issue installing it in about 30 minutes. I purchased an electrical lead so I could use a wall plug to power the unit. The instruction also had good detail on how to install that cord. The unit is well made, the built in lights are bright and are great for a night light in the kitchen. The fan is strong but pretty loud. Setting one is fine, hardly a sound. Setting two makes itself known and setting 3 is LOUD. I usually only use setting three when I am cooking onion, garlic or other food with a strong odor. Setting 2 is just right for smoky oils, I really only use the first speed setting for circulating and filtering the air after cooking. It would have been nice if the unit came with a mounting kit, or at least a template for drilling the mounting holes. However, it’s not that heavy so someone could hold it in place when you dill the mounting holes. Overall, I am very happy with the unit, just wish there was a way to make it quieter.

Great Range Hood with Powerful Suction, Easy-to-Use Design, and Excellent Value
I’m really pleased with the Broan-NuTone BCSQ130SS range hood. It has strong suction, which effectively removes cooking odors, and the stainless steel finish looks great and is easy to clean with just a quick wipe-down. I especially like that the buttons are on the front of the hood instead of underneath, which means I don’t have to reach into the path of hot steam from the stove. The physical buttons are also a big plus for me—no need to deal with those sometimes-unresponsive touch buttons found on other models.Noise-wise, it’s very quiet on the low and medium settings, which is ideal for most cooking tasks. It does get a bit louder on the high setting, but that’s understandable given the power, and it’s nice to know it’s doing its job. The LED lights are also very bright with a warm yellowish hue, which adds a cozy atmosphere to the kitchen while giving good visibility over the stovetop.Best of all, this range hood offers excellent value for the price compared to other models I looked at. It’s a solid choice that combines style, ease of use, powerful performance, and affordability—highly recommend it!

Stainless Steel Range Hood
Very happy with 30” range hood. Looks great. The LED lights are very bright. The 3 speed fan is powerful and the lowest setting is very quiet. I am using it ductless.

Awesome for the Price, Big Fan Moves a LOT of Air
Installed easily. Works perfectly. The lights cover my entire stovetop and light up half my kitchen at night. For the price, it's a winner. In my opinion, it was well worth spending extra over cheaper models to get the bigger fan and full-coverage grease traps.I had to order a power cord separately. It wired up very easily. In all, I think it took me about ten minutes to wire up the power cord and pop out the proper cutout for my stove vent. The fan is so quiet that I can't hear it on the lowest two settings. On highest speed, it pulls in almost all the smoke and steam from my stove and oven. The unit is made of thin metal and feels flimsy. The grease traps feel flimsy, too. When the fan's running on high, the grease traps actually bend in toward the fan. However, in use, it's worked fine. The first unit I received was beat up so badly there was no way to salvage it. The fan was even crooked because of the damage. The second unit had a small ding, but once I installed it, the ding is less noticeable than the factory welds. Both units shipped with a round vent collar screwed to the top and if the box gets banged up in shipping, it's going to cave in the top of the hood. Very poor packaging choice on the manufacturer's end.The hood comes with four wood screws to install it. I made templates with magic marker and paper and taped them up over the stove. I used a hole saw to make an opening for the power cord, ran the screws halfway into the cabinet, and then slid the hood on. One of the screws had to be removed and re-set because I missed the template by an 1/8 inch or so. Otherwise, all I had to do was snug up the screws and putting on the grease traps. My old microwave's exhaust fan was rated at 400 CFM (when it worked) and I wanted similar performance from a hood. This hood pulls far more steam and smoke out of the room than my microwave ever did. I did keep the soft-close vent flap from my microwave instead of using the vent flap that comes with this unit. The soft close works perfectly. The fan has a slow start.All-in-all, I'm very happy. It's not perfect, and it really doesn't match anything else in my kitchen, but it looks very nice and the functionality is exactly what I needed at a price I can live with.
