Rainbow Vision Sand Picture -- Black Window

I forgot to edit. I reordered and it arrived in great condition. WE absolutely love this!! I say we - because my husband, son and I are ALL enthralled with this item. I cannot get over how much we enjoy it and what a conversational piece it is. We are always talking about how "this one" is so different, or how we think that "this one" will fall, or how "this one" shimmers with the gold in the sun light. I'm 53 and it's nice to have something to talk about with my 22 year old who is a senior in college besides jobs and careers - a nice diversion.I would buy another one for my desk at work if I were not afraid that someone would steal it :(.-----------I was not sure how to rate it, so I picked 3 stars. After spending over two hours researching these, viewing videos and looking at the different styles, I finally decided that this would be the best one for my 21 year old son who is SO difficult to buy for. I received it yesterday, excitedly opened the box with my husband only to find the glass totally smashed. The box was intact, and it appears to have been packed properly.My only guess is that at some point it must have been slammed to the ground in transit. The only thing that may have helped would have been Bubblewrap on either side of the cardboard to help absorb the shock. I am going to order another one and hope it works out better this time.

I got this last night and it was packaged very well. Took the box straight out of the amazon box and wrapped it since it was a present. My girlfriend opened it up and loved it. However, once we set it on the counter, I notice a small, yet very noticeable, scratch in the glass. I hope it doesn't turn in to something major. I would have given 5 stars was it not for that since I paid $90 for this and expected great quality without a flaw.It does relax a person when you just sit back and watch the various designs created by this product. No two flips of the device result in anything similar, which is a huge plus.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter to help her cope with work stress. This 'Rainbow Vision' sand picture surpassed my expectations on quality, esthetics, and price. The ability to adjust the flow rate of the sand was also a nice option. As compared to a similar sand picture from a different artist, the sand in this unit was a bit finer, and as such, not quite as 'eye popping'. Aside from that I am quite satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend this product.

Was given for Christmas and disappointed that a piece of wood was broken off when recipient opened the gift. One side of the metal frame was ben too. Unfortunately I'll need to return and hope that they are in-stock again for a replacement purchase. Since the glass was not damaged, we were still able to enjoy the sand art which is quite beautiful. Looks like many others have the same problem with a wood piece detached upon arrival. I would just re-glue mine if the metal piece was not damaged too.

Very nice product. Husband loves it. My only conplaint is that the frame had a couple of scratches/dents in it. Nothing too noticeable but for the price I think the frame should have been in better condition. It came very nicely wrapped so I don't think it was damaged during delivery. That being said I will still buy the product again

Ok, got this a few years ago. When i first got it, it worked well. Now the sand seems to get stuck all the time. It comes with directions so you are supposed to be able to fix how slow or fast the sand runs. I just cannot figure it out. You have to have the propper amount of air and water in the mix to get it to work correctly, which I apparently do not have. I read over the directions every once in a while to see if I can get it going right, but.......I have not figured it out yet. When it works right, it is great, otherwise the sand gets stuck...

The sand art is great and the display is nice but one side of the frame was broken and this was a gift and the recipient opted just to glue the frame back together. Not what I'd expect for the price paid. Maybe go with a cheaper option if you are considering this as a purchase.

I purchased this sand picture over a year ago and it continues to function well, creating beautiful sand pictures. However you must follow the instructions and draw out air caused by water evaporation and then replenish the created vacuum with water (I use bottled drinking water). If you do this I believe you will continue to be delighted with the created images.
