The best cordless rotary tool out there
I love my Dremel, I purchased this to use in my arts and crafts projects and to trim my French bulldogs nails and it works great for both , I’m glad I chose Deemel, easy to use and high quality, it has long battery life and is very powerful, it came in a nice carry case with some very helpful attachments , this tool is highly recommend by me

cordless rotary tool is such a game changer
I had a corded Dremel before this one and not having a cord dragging around while you work is such a huge quality of life improvement I can't go back. This thing has way more power than I expected from a battery tool and it charges back up surprisingly fast too. Been using it for cutting, sanding, and detail work on projects and it handles everything I throw at it without any issues.

The cordless beast of the Dremel line! Really impressive!
I bought this 8220 dremel after buying the 8050 for trimming our dog's nails but wanted a more powerful dremel for other projects around the home. I knew I wanted a cordless dremel, and opted for the 12 volt 8220. My first impression was it is quite a bit bigger and heavier than the 8050. Once I charged the battery and turned it on, I knew it was a beast! I used it to cut off some hard plastic toilet valves (and replaced with SharkBite compression valves) and it cut through them with no problem. I was very impressed with the power and features of this dremel. I am just thinking of all the things I can do around the house now that I have this! Some pros of this model: 1. Cordless power! 2. 12 volt separate battery and charger incase you want to have additional batteries. It is a quick charging battery taking about 1 hour 3. Separate power and variable speed switch. Variable from 5-30k. 4. EZ twist collet lock (no need to carry around wrench) 5. Takes all of the dremel attachments unlike some of the smaller models 6. Handy case that stores the 8220 and many more accessories Overall, I plan to use this dremel a lot for things around the house. I have attached a picture of the 8220 next to my 8050 micro for a size comparison. This was the same price as the smaller model. If you have any thoughts on using the dremel for more than very light usage, I recommend going with the larger model.

Works if you can figure it out…
I picked this up for use as a quick tool I could pick up and use on the fly with art projects and other random minor tasks. While it does it’s job, and does it well, I feel there’s a slight learning curve to be surpassed here that your average user may not be expecting. For starters, it comes with a lot of attachments, however, those attachments are not immediately apparent as to their use. In addition it’s not easily understood how to attach or remove them. The provided instructions, while helpful to some minor degree, do very little to enlighten the user as to how these tools work with very basic, minimalist instruction at best. The instructions also seem to be a general list made for various models which makes one have to carefully decipher which ones apply to the model they purchased. Even then it’s a challenging process. Overall, the product does it’s job - if you can figure out how to use it safely and correctly. The included manual is of course the biggest obstacle in that it basically puts a less than experienced user on how alert to be cautious for all sorts of dangers, but fails to properly instruct the user on how to use said attachments and avoid those pitfalls. I included a picture of a very (extremely) basic project I undertook, the creation of a smooth, rounded ends, stickball bat. I say basic because it was all I felt confident in using it for until I could better understand the attachments and their safe use after opening it up brand new and jumping into my project. Overall, the product is great from what I have experienced, but ones user mileage may vary depending on one’s experience and knowledge with said tool. For the more mechanically or creatively (handy) inclined I’m certain this may be a non-issue. Would I recommend. Of course. I just wish it was more user friendly. I’m sure in time I will get better at understanding it’s various functions. Until then I can’t give it a five because the instructions are simply not user friendly.

Powerful & Perfect for Uncommon Usage for X-Large & Giant Breed Dog Nail Trimming
I got this Model Dremel to replace an older-version that didn't have replacement parts available anymore. I actually only have a Dremel because I have a 200# Mastiff and 120# Rottie and I've had excellent success using it for their nail management. For the probably very few who will be looking to use this tool for that specific use, I think it's an excellent choice. If you haven't ever used a Dremel for that specific use before and/or if you're using on a smaller breed dog, I'd recommend going with one of the models that doesn't have quite as much power. Using a Dremel on dog nails is a skill that takes time to learn, for both human and canine. Putting too much pressure on or touching the tool to the nail for too long can easily burn your dog. Their nails heat up very quickly when using a Dremel to trim them. Short bursts with very careful attention to the temperature of the nail is the only way this can be done. Once the length has been reduced with the Dremel, use the same short bursts to smooth the bottom and sides of the nail (one of the biggest reasons I switched from manual clippers) so there are no splits in the nail that would cause further stress or damage to the nail. My dogs are constantly being rewarded with treats and praise during this process and have gotten so used to it, they hand me their paws and look forward to their sessions. So, if you're one of the unique ones like me who only needs this Dremel to do her dog's nails, in my opinion, this is an excellent product to use. The amount of power provided is perfect and easily adjustable with only needing to place the tool at the medium strength level for trimming even the biggest of nails. There are plenty of replacement heads provided which are easy to remove and replace. The usable time of the battery is excellent and I have found no decrease in power when the battery loses it's charge. Instead it just won't work, which is fine with me. There are only two things about this Dremel that I am not crazy about, but won't change my number of starts for the review: 1) I have very small hands and this is not a tiny tool. The previous dremel I had, which was a 10-Volt which they no longer make, fit much more easily and comfortably into my hand. This one is a little clunky, but I'm learning to use it. I don't know that it would be great for super detailed work. 2) It runs warmer than I expected it to. It's not anything that makes using it uncomfortable, but was a little surprising. All-in-all though, I'm very happy and love my Dremel and would absolutely recommend and buy again.

Dremel 8220 cordless rotarytool kit
Works well. Charges fast. Holds a charge for quite a while. No complaints for this tool. Should last longer than my previous Hawkforce rotary tool. I've had a corded Dremel rotary tool with flexible shaft for several decades and it still works great. The Dremel cutting discs last much longer and cut better than the off brand ones. Can't beat a Dremel.

Great cordless rotary tool!
I have had a cheap corded rotary tool for years and have loved the versatility of it. I have used it for many and wide variety of projects. However, I always dreaded getting it out due to having to string out the power cord and possibly an extension cord where I would need to use it. Decided it was time to upgrade to this cordless Dremel. I have not been disappointed and find I often grab it to do tasks I would have previously done with other tools but now it's much more convenient to use this! If you are on the fence, I will tell you it worth the money and I would recommend this tool to anyone. Great to have in your arsenal.

My new favorite tool, this powerful Dremel
I recently purchased the Dremel 8220-1/28 12V Max Cordless Rotary Tool, and I have been blown away by its performance and versatility. This tool is an absolute game-changer for any DIY enthusiast or hobbyist. The 12V max cordless feature allows for easy maneuverability and freedom of movement, making it a breeze to tackle projects both indoors and outdoors. The package comes with an impressive set of 28 accessories, which cover a wide range of applications. I was able to effortlessly switch between tasks such as cutting, grinding, and sanding, thanks to the quick-change feature. The tool's powerful motor delivered consistent and precise results, even when working on more intricate projects. Compared to other rotary tools I have used in the past, the Dremel 8220-1/28 stands out for its durability and reliability. The battery life is excellent, allowing for extended use without the need for frequent recharging. Additionally, the ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip and minimizes hand fatigue during long periods of use. Overall, I cannot recommend the Dremel 8220-1/28 12V Max Cordless Rotary Tool enough. It has truly exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, versatility, and ease of use. Whether you're a professional or a hobbyist, this tool is an investment that will undoubtedly enhance your DIY projects and make your life easier.

Great product!
My first Dremel lasted for decades! As a replacement, I chose the wireless model which is even better! The battery lasts for a long time and the tool is powerful. It is of great quality.

Excelente herramienta
