China Glaze Nail Polish, Ruby Pumps 182

I bought the color Ruby Pumps and it is a beautiful red jelly micro-glitter polish that I think everyone should get.To start, the formula is one of China Glaze's best. It's not too thick or too thin, glides on the nail smoothly, no pooling, no brush strokes and levels out nicely. The red jelly base is pretty opaque on the first coat, but is definitely a 2-3 coater if you want full opacity. As for the micro-glitter, it's red, really fine and shows through the jelly base, especially in daylight. Really sparkly! However, like most red polishes and micro-glitter polishes for that matter, it's really messy to remove but at least I haven't had any staining after removal. Not a deal breaker by any means. As for wear, the polish lasted me a good 5-6 days til chipping starts to occur so decent wear time. Note: I use OPI base coat and Seche Vite top coat.Overall, Ruby Pumps is one of China Glaze's best classic polishes and my 2nd favorite red in my collection (1st being OPI Danke-Shiny Red). I really recommend it since it's a great color for everyone to have, especially since the holidays are coming soon!

I'm not a big fan of red nail polishes, but I fell in love with this color when I saw it swatched on a nail polish blog I frequent. I immediately made my way over to Amazon and snagged myself a bottle. The minute I got it in my hands it was like falling in love all over again. I got it on my nails and...well, you see the trend by now. It sparkles beautifully in indoor lighting, but it comes to life in sunlight. Dorothy's ruby red slippers don't have anything on this shade. The formula is great and it applies well. I got full opacity in just two coats, and the drying time is pretty quick. The polish is amazing by itself but put a top coat on and ba-da-bing ba-da-boom! It's truly a magnificent color!

Great Xmas Colour!

Here's a review of Ruby Pumps and a comparison of CG's and OPI's brush as well as a few of my fave colors from OPI that still keep me coming back to OPI. Just now getting in on the nail craze and loving this color called Ruby Pumps. It absolutely lives up to it's name and remind me exactly of Dorothy's shoes from Wizard of Oz. It's a blue based red & ever so slightly berry toned - not a classic "apple" red. Gorgeous silver glitter makes this polish stand out and catches the light nicely. Somehow, it manages not to be hard to take off with my acetone free remover. It is a little more thin than a typical creme, but was a lot easier to apply than a lot of my OPI polishes. I actually like the regular width brush too, as opposed to OPI's newer wide brush. The reason is that is what I'm used to using and with the wide brush I'm bumping the side cuticles like crazy with that wonderfully extra width. I've also heard tale that a lot of the actual pros are complaining about the wide brush (My mom is a nail tech). Point is I'm prefering China Glaze, but there are a few colors that keep me coming back to OPI like Congeniality is my Middle Name which is a berry red with purple shimmer and Tease-Y Does It is a gorgeous deep purple brown with gold glitter - one of my faves.

I love this nail polish. The color Ruby Pumps is a very vibrant red. It has a beautiful sparkle to it. It looks shiny when dry as well.

This product will not disappoint! Goes on easily and wears well! True to color! I had used this brand and shade in the past so I was excited to find it on Amazon! If you like a bold, true red color you will definitely like this nail polish!

This has been my Christmas/winter go-to for years.. It has a slight metallic gold shimmer color added.
