Young Justice: Season 1 - Volumes 1, 2 & 3

Young Justice Season: Part One
I enjoyed Young Justice for its plot line, characters, and background and introductions of not so much known characters. There are three DVDS with four episodes in each one. Many people do complain about it not being the full season but beggars can't be choosers. Currently Young Justice is in Season Two and Part One is will be out in January which contains ten episodes. Right now there is no release of a one set of Season one. To me I'm alright with it because it does beat the DVDs separately. The price is reasonable for twelve episodes considering how low the price is now. The DVDs do not include anything except episodes and trailers and mini preview comics. If they do release a season box, it may have commentary, behind the scenes or even the DC shorts. Maybe that might encourage you to wait but I just want to watch Young Justice all the time like the geek I am. I did buy Part Two so I do have a full season of episodes. I'm not asking for much. Each of the disks has a picture cover or art. Disk one is my favorite because it is a collage of the YJ team while the other two are a bit plain. The first disk sates YOUNG JUSTICE season one * volume one. It has from left to right: Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash (Top), Miss Martian (Bottom), Superboy (Top) and Artemis (Bottom). The color is red and the DC comics and WB emblems are on the disk also. The second disk has the art work of a spiderweb or the rays of the light and is orange while the third disk looks reminds me a computer in red. The cover of the DVD is simple and bold. Since it hold all three disks of Young Justice from volumes 1 to 3 it has all the artworks from the DVD covers. The case itself is pretty sturdy but do not step on it or lean on it. I invited a friend over one day and that was when my disks came in the mail. She was being herself and sat her arm over the box which had to bubble wrap at all. I discovered this when I opened it. The case Is clear but the containment inside seems a little weak. The end piece securing the disks broke. So be mindful and careful. There's no extra paper entailing which disk is what but that's because it's on the back.Main Menu in all the Disks is a picture of the team. From left to right: Robin, Artemis, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Aqualad. Everybody looks serious and in the background is the theme of Young Justice. The main menu has all the basic buttons: Play, Episodes, Tailors, and Settings.Maybe you want to watch all the episodes, click play. It starts from the beginning of the DVD depending on which DVD you play.If you only want to see a particular episode, choose episodes. The background is Aqualad in fighting mode.Trailers are trailers. The background is Kid Flash in action mode.Settings are if you are bilingual or curious to see how it sounds in Spanish, Portugoal or French. There are subtitles if you want to know what was said. The background is Robin hacking the motion sensors.Young Justice Season Vol. 1Episodes: Independence Day, Fireworks, Welcome to Happy Harbor and Drop ZoneYoung Justice Season Vol. 2Episodes: Schooled, Infiltrator, Denial and DowntimeYoung Justice Season 1 Vol. 3Episodes: Bereft, Targets, Terrors, and Home FrontI would recommend people who just want to watch the show and do not want a full season box.

This is one cartoon classic I won't forget.
I loved the action-packed stories. It is just good and evil battling it out to see who wins. The plots and rising action are so simple but understandable. Overall, I just like it. I have the 2nd and 3rd seasons as well. The third season is just awesome. Thanks Amazon.

Great series
A great show from the dc universe by the man behind Disney's Gargoyles and Spectacular Spider-man. Miss Martian proved a breakout character in particular and it's a shame the show's popularity did little to increase her prominence in the comics. The new version of Aqualad made for the show is however,, a bit too flawless for my taste and Artemis is not engaging enough imo.

Young Justice is simply one of the Best Dc Comics Animated Shows of all Time !
Young Justice first premiered on Cartoon Network back in 2010 and in 2013 Cartoon Network Canceled the series but in 2019 Warner Bros & Dc Comics renewed for third season known as Young Justice Outsiders the great news is that all 3 seasons are available on dvd & blu.ray the Young Justice Series has been renewed for a fourth season known as Young Justice Phantoms and it will be on HBO Max in the U.S.A and in Canada it will be on Teletoon. Now what are my thoughts on this series ? well One: Young Justice is simply one the best Dc Comics animated shows since Justice League/Justice League Unlimited that also aired on Cartoon Network. Young Justice well as any comic fan knows its about a young super hero team that is trained by Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman of course you know I'm referring to Robin Aqua Lad Kid Flash & Miss Martian and Artemis that became the Justice League secret covert team against the Light organization aka the Secret Society of Super Villains bent on World Destruction. as of today Teletoon Canada Broadcasts Batman The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited and Young Justice. as for Young Justice Phantoms I think we need a character that is going to put the fear in the Secret Society of Super Villains . As for Young Justice as a series I Highly recommend the series. Final Rating For Young Justice 3pack dvd set: 5.5 Stars

The Future Justice League Friends
The Teen Titans was a very similar comic book to this and a similar cartoon as well. The older version of The Teen Titans was more gritty and teenage. The newer version of The Teen Titans is more childish and comedy. Young Justice, thank goodness, is a welcome switch back to the first animated Teen Titans that I remember watching. MUCH more grit and violence. Imagine Robin martial arts fighting Slade in an extended battle while Slade is possessed by Raven's demon father. How is that for action?! THAT is the first cartoon of The Teen Titans and now Young Justice. No cutesy funny storylines like the newer Teen Titans which is more like The Powerpuff Girls. Teen superpower angst! Trained by the Justice League Unlimited, Young Justice is like 21 Jumpstreet in that they are very young heroes. Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad are all invited to the Hall of Justice to save Superboy, a "clone" of Superman, from a laboratory. Martian Manhunter's female version called Miss Martian joins the team along with Artemis, a Green Arrow style female hero. They build a new base called Mt. Justice embedded in a mountain in the U.S just for the younger team but keep the Hall of Justice for the elders(Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, etc.). As they learn how to better use their abilities much like the New Mutants in Marvel Comics fame, they run into seriously strong enemies like androids, wizards, and robots. Some names you will DEFINITELY recognize! These heroes are the future of the Superfriends/Justice League!

Not the whole season
I did not realize it was only the first 12 episodes of season 1. I thought it was the full season

Genial

Great as far as they go
First off this is only half the first season of Young Justice. It is only the first 12 episodes. Young Justice: Dangerous Secrets DVD contains next 14 episodes of the season. From a value for money point of view 12 episodes sold for just over £10 is great value. All the episodes are great, good animation great stories and true to the characters. I have to say I do like the small twist of Batman being the stern but fair father figure to Young Justice but Superman being the unaccepting runaway day to Conner. I especially like that fact that YJ are constantly learning from each adventure (about themselves and about their powers), and each character brings something to the team. The episode where they have to choose a leader is a great example; every DC fan knows who the obvious choice should be but are they ready? The episodes on this DVDs are:1. Independence Day2. Fireworks3. Welcome to Happy Harbor4. Drop-Zone5. Schooled6. Infiltrator7. Denial8. Downtime9. Bereft10. Targets11. Terrors12. HomefrontThese are so good I could not wait to get hold of the rest of the season. Anytime soon would be good.

GREAT STUFF, EVEN AT THAT PRICE.
DC Comics has always over-priced his DVDs. The 12 episodes for $22 + tax is on the edge of being pricey. Mind you, in this case, you are getting a lot bang for your buck.YOUNG JUSTICE is a cool and simple, but at the same time, it is complex piece of animation. The writers have delivered a Saturday morning cartoon with surprising character depth. In less than two episodes, everybody pros and cons are exposed and defined. They inexperience of the young team members is depicted in a subtle way. The near-misse in their 1st rescue mission is quite funny, but you have to like the almost British type of humor. The scenario has 3 to 4 layers of story lines. It gets you to sit tight for another episode. Gems such the return of Dr. Fate was a great idea to link the present and the past. It is one of the many great half-hours of action. The JLA's members are shown on several occasions, but they are mainly present to get the action going or to link everything. The balance between action scenes and soap opera time is as perfect as can be.My only concern was the depiction of Robin. The skinny 13 yrs old hero is a far cry from what he was in the Comics version of Teen Titans. I made the sme comment when I reviwed the 1st season of T. T.. The bigger than life looks of the Justice League members was over-done.I highly recommend this dozen doses of Young Justice. It will please DC fans of all ages.
