Will update and add more stars as usage progresses. This is a real-world review with a 24-hour trial for three things I noticed.1. I took one at bedtime and slept fine, but still woke up at 1 a.m. as is normal for me. Couldn't go back to sleep either, also normal, so I got up, did a couple of things, and took another one. Like the first one, I fell right to sleep and although I did wake up a couple of times, I managed to sleep in a bit too, which always helps.2. When I woke up I did feel groggy though not as bad as when I take Benedryl.3. I was hungry for breakfast, but it didn't feel urgent. I have felt an urgent need to eat yet and it is 1 p.m. Since normally I don't want to eat until around 3 p.m. this is not necessarily unusual. What is unusual is for hunger to be present, I can feel it, but not feel compelled to eat.One thing that excites me, per WedMD, "Fibromyalgia. Early research suggests that taking 100 mg of 5-HTP by mouth three times daily for 30-90 days might improve pain, tenderness, sleep, anxiety, fatigue, and morning stiffness in people with fibromyalgia. " For me, since I have both fibro and cfs/me, any help in this area, in addition to the help I get from curcumin, would be wonderful. I am hopeful!

First a bit of background on myself. 1- I have no thyroid. 2- I have ADD. 3 - I have sleep apnea. Since taking this HTP supplement my sleep has been more restful (sounds weird but true), I feel a bit more focused at work (could be the better sleep or the supplement but who cares! It’s better!!) and I am not reaching for snacks every half hour like I usually do! I’d say this is a win for me! I just put it in with the rest of my meds at bedtime so don’t even know I am swallowing anything new. Easy peasy!!

I’ve been taking this product for a little over a week and I can already feel a significant difference. My mood has improved so much compared to what it was before. I’m usually feeling pretty down when the weather is cooler and with all that is going on in the world it has made my seasonal depression worse but Im so glad this product has been a blessing to me! Sleep has been amazing too, I usually toss and turn but now I sleep so good and I feel refreshed in the mornings! Im so glad I was about to try this product out and I will definitely purchase again!

I was hesitant about buying it because I get weird depressions periods throughout my life. I went to a psychologist three years ago and she mentioned that my depression comes without notice because it could be a chemical imbalance inside my body. I remember she told me my serotonin level could be low.Im not completely sure if it works as an appetite suppressant but it has been improving my energy and puts me into a better mood. I can’t comment about the weight loss part because I’ve only been using it for a week but I haven’t been feeling sad as often as I was feeling before, since I have taken the pill. Also it improved my sleeping pattern, I’m now able to go to sleep early unlike before that it would take me hours to sleep.Give it a try! Totally worth it!

I could not tell any difference in the way I felt. I am giving it one more try though. It says it had serotonin on the site but does not say it on the bottle not sure about this

I have always wanted to try 5HTP, but was hesitant for a long period. I have thoroughly enjoyed this product! They are easy to swallow and have no aftertaste. I found that they have helped keep my mood level without dipping so low, and that even the dips seem less dramatic and more manageable. I will continue to take these!

One thing I did not notice was any kind of appetite suppression, but I am also following a keto diet and usually do not have hunger-pains.
